I stayed in THAT apartment for 5 months. I loved it. Very nice and convenient. 50 feet from the train station and there is a convenience store right downstairs and a 24 hour convenience store across the street. I highly recommend this particular building. I don't know what the other are like but this was a joy to stay in. They forgot to mention the microwave that makes toast. LOL. i will be staying there again in about 2 weeks for another 5 months. Much better than a hotel.
Hear all that noise? Be CAREFUL when you rent a place in Japan. Some agencies specialize in renting unrentable places. That happened to me 2 years ago in Kyoto - I rented a place over the net, then moved there and found out no one wanted to live there because the apt. was literally right across from a train bell. BANG BANG BANG every 8 minutes from 5AM to midnight. BE CAREFUL!
@burnstagger Hello from Tokyo, yes, thank you for the good advice. You are right. As you notice (since this is a handmade video) we cant block out any of the background noise. Some people complained about that, but I definitely think we need to keep our videos as real as possible. Particularly with B-SITE Akihabara (located next to a train track) and with the lower floors at Takanawadai we make sure to let people considering apartments from overseas that they might want to consider the noise.
@burnstagger Also, all of our buildings have double glass windows which block out quite a bit, but you will see in the video that I try as much as possible to open window so viewers can get an idea of the noise outside even if the inside of the apartment seems quiet. With current efforts to reduce electricity use in Tokyo, many more people will want breezes from outside into their apartment so windows will be open. Make sure to ask about noise and how it is handled at the building (windows, etc.)
I had the opportunity to live in one of the Studio apartments in this building for approximately a year. This building is an excellent place to live and your video brings back fond memories of living in Tokyo.
Also, the proximity to the subway, which is just a few meters from the front door, was very nice. I couldn't have asked for a better place to live!
