As sweet and sad as it was that in the movie she had to say goodbye to him. In the Bible account, Miriam is bolder and goes up to the princess with an offer to go to fetch a nurse for the baby Moses and it's his mother. So she raised him, even if he didn't know that was mom.

This version is a great example that pop singers should leave these kind of songs alone. The original had good enough singing as it is. They should learn not to cling to a good song and try to remake it as their own.

That is not a criticism of Amy Grant's talent.

It is a commendation that Ofra Haza should be remembered in the 'Music Halls of Fame' as one of the most talented singers of all time.
