I used to live near to Burslem and remember seeing the words *BURSLEM NORMALS* spray painted on a wall.

Always had the idea that the *BURSLEM NORMALS* were a gang maybe.

BURSLEM NORMALS was the name for port vale supporters from burslem at that particular time, robbie was born in the red lion pub in burslem, which is still a home team pub nowerdays

I always wondered what those words sprayed on *Bogs* wall actually meant. I only remember a group of Vale supporters called the VLF! I guess the *Normals* were before my time.

Good that he wrote a song about something so *Stoke*. Only a *Stokie* would get that reference. I wonder what`s next, maybe a *nod* towards *The Place* or Vale Social Club?
