If my memory serves me well, released originally on Aves Records.Robbie Vincent played it and it sold out completely by the end of that day.It then came out shortly afterwards on Chrysalis.
Ah ! British Jazz Funk from the early 80s... Great stuff..... Linx, Freeez, Central Line, Olympic Runners, UK Players ..... man alive ... so many great bands bak then.
I LOVE you for posting this. This was my all time FAVORITE song when I was a youngin. I had the 45.. baby, I played it to death. That 45 is still at my grandmas' house to this day.
brilliant record. david grant turned up at tiffanys in sheffield and sang this live in 1981. best days of my life, cleethorpes, notts palais, blackpool mecca, and the list goes on
This live version is so fantastique that it made me buy the original canned music version of the song... very disappointing as the music composition on that was not anywhere near complicated.
Man Lynx were a great band back then.Mind you there were some great british funk bands back then.Too bad you don't see these types of bands now.Now its all this boy band crap
