  • If my memory serves me well, released originally  on Aves Records.Robbie Vincent played it and it sold out completely by the end of that day.It then came out shortly afterwards on Chrysalis.

  • I LOVE you for posting this. This was my all time FAVORITE song when I was a youngin. I had the 45.. baby, I played it to death. That 45 is still at my grandmas' house to this day.

  • brilliant record. david grant turned up at tiffanys in sheffield and sang this live in 1981. best days of my life, cleethorpes, notts palais, blackpool mecca, and the list goes on

  • Saw this band also in 1981 at the Edinburgh Playhouse. Great show TINY audience. Thought that "Throw away the key" was their best effort.

  • I didn't know that Linx made this song.I heard this song when i was 10 years old back in 1980 and it's still funky.

  • This live version is so fantastique that it made me buy the original canned music version of the song... very disappointing as the music composition on that was not anywhere near complicated.
