Mammootty could never dance but mohanlal could. Look at mohanlal now. The guy barely walks during dance scenes. Mohanlal cant play the action hero he once was anymore. hes too fat. Its just too fake watching a fatass do flips raise his legs above his waist trying to kick people when u already know he cant.

I enjoyed this movie throughly. Among other things, this is a clever, tongue-in-cheek, parody on the typical Indian pot-boiler cinema (no language excepted). Every ingredient is there. Only the all-sacrificing mother, jealous mother-in-law, and Hindi-cinema's wisdom-spouting child are missing.

I absolutely love this movie- the script is written so well, all the stars fit great together & I really liked how it all linked up :) Mammootty's dialogues and Mohanlal's entrance in the interval... AMAZING <3 They should do a lot more movies together. This is definitely one of my favorites :D

You may be right,I am not an expert in BO stats.

A couple of weeks ago, I came across a discussion in the web where the biggest hits from 1980-2005 were listed. I saw another list in a different site. [have to admit that by now, I was getting v curious, even though i do NOT believe in numbers!]. Both seemed to indicate that Mammootty has given more hits.

I wonder if there is an official BO collection site for Malayalam?

The bottom line is that both are supremely talented guys!

I have not sat down n counted...its from the words of those people who have seen the whole era (like 1984 - 2010)......Mammootty rarely had super hits till 2005.....and his real career graph went up after 2005....i don know the numbers....but, if u juzz quickly go thru wiki from 1984 to 2010, u wuld get an idea......therez no doubt about the talent of the two.............but, no one enjoyed BO success at the same time critical acclaim like lal did.....
