tasty pedal! wonder how it would sound thru my Marshall 1987x...

I actually tried a Suhr Riot with this amp recently, didn't like it- lots of low mids (no matter what position the switch was in) and didn't seem to cut thru the mix at rehearsal. I actually run my amp at about 1 or 2 which is fairly loud but more or less clean, so I need a good OD or distortion pedal to front-end my rig. I wonder if this one's worth a try...

@erocypsi, what do u think about using it for a cranked tube amp that can get an ACDC tone when at the volume of 6?

This pedal can do ACDC type tones. If you use it as an overdrive pedal with the boost off, you can crank your amp and the pinnacle will push it over the edge nicely. It is such a versitaile pedal that you can get a million different tones out of it.

However... If you are strictly looking for Angus tone, I would check out either the Wampler Plextortion or MI Audio Crunchbox.

i think it's just because 12 o'clock on the volume knob is less than unity gain. when he starts turning it up you can hear it getting much louder than when he starts.
