Man it's kind of sad that Chuck didn't want to sing like that anymore, but he still did for the fans. It's noticeable in his voice... or maybe im just wrong and he's always had a raspy voice but in the other interviews i've seen his voice was alot clearer. RIP Chuck! The God of Death Metal! \m/

Well there are some good metalcore bands like Killswitch Engage but most of it is bad because they just sing about stupid shit and they don't have any talent. But I actually really like Killswitch, their singer has an amazing voice

That's because most metalcore/alternative metal is from hollywood where most people are fake posers. From my honest opinion metalcore is pretty much the by-product of the glam/hair metal scene, except instead of looking like girls to get pussy they have to show how "badass manly" they are with roid rages and high testosterone pills while hiding behind stupid masks and playing simplified, repetitive music with goth/emo lyrics.

metalcore is "cool", because it's trendy. Metal music is not trendy music which is why most metalheads (myself included) believe it is a bi-product of the music industry (which it is). It's like nu metal before it, industrial before that and hair metal before that.

In all seriousness, I tink if Chuck saw these metalcore bands now - despite his 'metal is metal' ideals - he'd be rather disguted and end up making an album soehow far more technically outstanding than TSoP.
