  • Bjork's powerful voice coupled with a fantastic violin arrangement what an amazing marriage.

  • been searching for this song for absolutely years, Thanks Tony !!!!!!!

  • YOu can So hear David Arnolds Influence in this

  • The line at 1:25 is so fucking 90s and so fucking great! Infinite love for Bjork.

  • I don't know but some how this song doesn't spark an interest to me. I don't like it.

  • Awesome sauce.

  • wow ! My no1 fave voice, on my fave track

  • i love when she yells/sings

  • The young Americans.

  • anyone know what film that is in the video??

  • @lovemadonna77 I meant to send that to you, read the other thing i posted :)

  • love the opening violins so much!!!!

  • Beautiful

  • how i feel x

  • i love her, marry me BJÖRK!

  • presiosa

  • One of the best things she's sung. B still was a young woman and a great talent.

Takes me back to a period of intense emotional music that inspired and moved me but never left me flat.

  • Bjork is AMAZING. What natural talent

  • @blackers11 Saying that diminishes the fact that she clearly worked hard for a long time to become what she is.

  • @technomoo What a pathetic comment to make. Clearly she's worked hard but having a stunning voice is obviously laregly based on a natural gift. She had an amazing voice ALL her life (not recently as your uneducated comment suggests). There are video's of her as a very young child...watch that and then come back to me and say she's not a natural talent. Amazes me how thick some people are.

  • @blackers11 The only gift she had was an extreme interest in music, the rest was WORK, That's all that talent really is you idiot. You speak like you've never been good at anything in your life and are trying to make excuses. Bjork earned her talent through hard work and dedication. I understand talent even if you seem to regard it as magical, it's there for the taking if you want it enough.

  • @technomoo You're wrong. How do you explain her stunning voice at the age of 4? Practicing before she was born!? Moron. She's obviously worked hard at her voice and talent and that's not being disputed but clearly she was born with a talent beyond the average person. Anyway this will be my last reply so feel free to respond with your usual half wit comment.I've never been good at anything in my life? Sounds like a last pathetic attempt at avoiding the arguement. Yes i'm sucessfull at just 26!

  • @blackers Blackers mate, you're clearly retarded, you're not worth my time. Clearly your upbringing taught you that the person who throws the most insults wins the argument. I just read some of your previous comments and the one comment on your channel and it says everything. The only thing you have going for you is that you're that bad that you make everyone around you look good. Grow the fuck up you nasty piece of shit.

  • @technomoo hahaha hilarious, you're getting so fired up!! Are you not stepping on your own point by calling me a retard!?. Ah never mind, give it time I'm sure you'll gain a brain call or two over time.

  • @blackers11 I like how you say that but then i look on your page and you've removed the negative comment because my comment obviously didn't bother you. Lets just see what you wrote in your first reply to me and see how much of a complete dickhead you are. The words pathetic, uneducated and then you call me thick in reply to a post that used no insults whatsoever. And ofc then you throw in all your misspellings and you ruin your own comment! Idiot!

  • @technomoo ahhh exactly the reply I was hoping for. You're getting even more worked up...the satisfaction is too much to take! Thank you. Please feel free to continue with the comments I'm enjoying EVERY single one! lol

  • @blackers11 And blackers teaches another lesson in how to totally misinterpret the world around him. I'm really worked up apparently.....

  • haha this is the most hilariously off topic comment ever.

  • 1. I am not an asshole

    2. I don't make soap operas

    3. I am from Northern Ireland not England

    4. You are an idiot

    5. I am now going to ignore your childish nonsense.

  • What a nasty piece of work you are, grow up,and who the hell makes you watch CORONATION street, don't put the channel on you moron.

  • Comment removed

  • oh bjork i play dead because of you...please come to me!!!!

  • She is sooo talented...I love this song....

  • Bjork is a unique, musically-talented artist. Beautiful, standing ovation.

  • I totally agree

  • One of the best soundtracks ever!

  • She's hot.

  • If you go to the David Arnold home site, his intro music is from this song.

  • What a fantastic song! Lots of ppl have said it sounds like james bond, thats coz the guy who wrote it went on to do the music score for bond movies (David Arnold) the reason the vid isn't that great is that its for a film. Its called the Young Americans. Not the best story ever but BEAUTIFULLY shot and AMAZING music score, this and Christian's Requiem being the highlights of the whole film. Really is a fantastic song, very deep, very beautifull.

  • I don't think "It's oh so quiet" would put the right spin on a Bond movie!

I would conjure up a vision of the Dawnie French parody "SSSSSSSSSSSSH be quiet"

  • most eppen...

  • She's absolutely gorgeous in the vid.

  • ah yes, Young Americans...

  • that is a good film for its time also great tune.

  • what film are the clips from?

  • I love this song, only remembered it this morning whilst watching a plane.

  • Bjork -If you read this I would love to meet you.

  • irelands finest,even better than her mother,dana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • ireland?! iceland haha..

  • I cringed, I'm physically embarrassed to be the same species as you. Please tell me you are a clever monkey

  • amazing bass line

my sister says she screams a lot, and her music, is not music

I say, if it makes you feel ANYTHING and calls your attention, it is music

(and that, lady gaga and the jonas brothers make me want to gaga)

    yeah, we are opposite poles...

  • loves it. beautiful song, so touching.

  • the best!

  • Amazing, I forgot how good this song is x

  • i really love this song and it didn't take more then one listen to love i just loved it from the first time hearing it!

  • Damn I love Björk. Beautiful, wise beyond her age. Great music. Takes me places. Genuis! A woman that has mastered her masculine side. A true rarity.

  • awevo putos jajaja si que si

  • david arnold wrote the score minus the beat... unbelievable arrangement

  • I love this song.

  • The best. Adore BJORK.

  • Remember this great ald film and BJORK.

  • what movie is that on the backround??

  • its called "the young americans" with harvey keitel.

  • bjork is beautiful, i dont mean looks, i mean talent wise and musically. her music illicits emotion.

  • Hey.. Her looks arent bad at all!

  • But she is beautiful..... looks and talent

  • wow!!!!!!!! thats one of the most beatiful viedos and voice line of bjork!!!!!!!!

    she has a incomparable voice

    I LOVE BJORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Woman + Beautiful + Inteligent + Creative + Artistical talent = Damned Hysterical. Check anytime. You got to love them the way they are anyway..

  • That was an idiotic comment, sorry to say.

  • Truth may be hard to take

  • One of my favorite songs from her!!

  • yeah is the sound track of the young americans!! this song is simpy, beautiful, amazing, worderful...

  • omg i love bjork, she has a unique style, I wish she make more songs like, undo, alarm call...by the way, is this a movie?

  • I still love this song

  • yeah i adore this song so much but the video leaves much to be desired. looks like a film soundtrack video madonna would do...not bjork.

  • Tiene una hermosa voz, genial video, se agradece desde Mexico

  • Its Bjork! Nobody understands her other than herself. The music and variety of her voice is what attracts me.

  • This is great and all, but I wish I could hear the words better when she says them, or at least have the lyrics on the screen.

  • where's the smorgish-bjorg....?

  • you'd pee-yerk bee-yerk?

  • she looks cute in this video

  • Beautiful song, Beutiful Music...please Bjork , you have to find absolutly a REAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR.. If someone can make a 3D video DO IT , it cannot be worst that video, Sorry for my bad english i'm french

  • Surely you've seen Bjork's clip 'all is full of love'.

thats an amazing video clip, done by chris cunningham, hes a fantastic director.

  • if anyone is confuesed

    im pretty sure she sys

    "it stops the sting"

  • No. It's not "it stops the sting"....It is: "It stops the hurting". It's just Bjork awesome Icelandic accent. Nobody says "torture" like she does :)

  • yeahh

    i figured that out later

  • She says, It stops the hurting.

  • When i saw this i feel so crazy cool, fantastic and this is what i right want,,,

  • INTERESTING ARTIST...

  • J' adore.

De la recherche, du renouvellement, un univers musical foisonnant.

Une grande carrière et de grands disques. Une artiste majeure.

    From France with love.

  • such a sweeeeeeet LADY !and gifted as well.

  • I found the instrumental Version of this song! its Beautiful =D

  • Hey, does anybody know what Bjork is saying when she sings Jaaa like she does in lots of her songs? She does it at the beginning of this song.

  • I think it is just a little "Bjork quirk" that she tends to do alot. Just an add on, not a "word" really. I guess you could say, just a "Jaaa" lol

  • Maybe Jaa means yes in Icelandic? Or do they speak Norse in Iceland? I must research that! Anyway I love how her accent sounds when she sings.

  • Haha maybe. I love her accent, too, very much. She is amazing.

  • Que hermosa es... !

  • "It stops the hursting"

  • I think she actually says "It stops the sting". That's what I've always thought anyway. *shrug*

  • She sings 'it stops the hurting', I think.

  • I thought she said "It stops thirsting" :p

  • she is absolutely adorable

  • i must say i think Pain's cover is better ^^" (actually Pain's version is fantastic really !)

  • Do you have the link? I can't find t-pain's version of play dead.

  • she is so great!!!!! wonderful!!! one og the best artist ever seen!

  • Bjork is sooo cute.

  • Yup, very attractive.

Stupid question, but why does she look so different in this to "It's oh so quiet"?

  • Bjork at her very best,

  • she's so pretty and that song is just brilliant it has so much power and meaning and... i totally can't get enough of it

  • Best Bjork song..

  • No word to describe it.

No matter how long ago this was released it'll never stop sounding great :)

  • in this video she is so gorgeous!

  • when is she never gorgeous

  • she is always gorgeous, but specially in this video.

  • doesn't matter what mood I'm in, this song always sounds great

  • when i hear this song it

reminds me the rawnees of geting drunk

in a bar being hart broken

  • I totally agree with you, the same feeling

  • She does a song like this, then follows it up with 'It's oh so quiet'...Weird chick!

Amazing song though, so powerful, so raw, a real classic. Thanks xoozn.

  • would have made an amazing james bond theme tune.

  • i love how classic she looks in this, this song is so powerful xD

  • to me it is sort of her peak, after the rawness of the sugarcubes she came to refine the songs, before getting too much of an opera singer ... still she is really unique that 'little Iceland girl' :)!

  • What....she was classically trained?

  • ...debut...the best ever

  • goshh shes so darn cute! and her hair is fabulouse...

  • One of the best songs ever written...

  • It definitely is! :D

  • Magnifique !

  • no 1

  • I love this song. Very Powerful.

  • Whoa! Is that Harvey Keitel?

  • Yes! The video includes clips from the film 'The Young Americans' :)

  • Ironically you can't get it on her American release of 'Debut', it's the last song on the European release of 'Debut'

  • Indeed that is Harvey. This song is on the soundtrack to a film called Young Americans. Never seen it.

  • I love this music so much, but I haven't realized there were a clip. I don't know, I didn't like it very much as I like others.

  • This totally fab! It crystallizes the whole Bjork movement, it is so much more then a song, piece of music or art form. I believe Bjork is so ahead of out time we really don't understand the brilliance of it all...........

  • piekna piosenka z lat mojej mlodosci, kiedys wydawala mi sie dramatyczniejsza

  • i love this song so much it hurts!

  • god that is such a great song!

  • I play dead and i win

  • bjork looks like a little girl in this vid

  • i love bjork and her songs and her voice but i notcied

    that her

    belting lol

    is always like

    "ccyyyaaaeeeehh"

  • Perhaps it's b/c of her Icelandic accent? Idk.
