As a tennis player (and an aspiring boxer as a teen), I can speak of the comparison between boxing. It is very similar to boxing. Not only the one-on-one aspect, but also the stop-and-start movement, and the chess-like tactics involved; ask any pro player to compare tennis to another sport, and they'll compare it to boxing. The only difference of course is the lack of physical contact in tennis.
He's very aware of himself and his instinctive behavior. Despite his intelligence, he shows the same psychological weaknesses as all other humans. The difference is, he observes those weaknesses and it is not afraid to breakdown and admit them.
no, no, he's defintely just frustrated with himself and trying to articulate himself properly - he seems to enjoy conversing with the interviewer, he was just never a very self-promoting media-friendly writer, you know? its the same thing with the Charlie Rose interview where he talks about how wracked with nerves he is being filmed and televised. :)
Is it just me, or does he seem annoyed at times during this interview with the interviewer, the questions, and I guess the entire notion of an interview?
@eits1986 I just think he feels like he may be annoyed with himself and his inability to properly articulate what he's trying to say in the "right ways".

"90% of this is gonna be cut out, right?" "Yeah, sure." The interviewer proceeds to upload the entire interview, completely unedited.

@ohfoolishworkerbee He does seem to be annoyed with the interviewer when he turns the question on her and then says "it's not so easy, is it?"

@eits1986 I don't think he was expecting to be asked such abstract questions.

I paused this at like 4:30 to go watch something else. He's interesting enough for a writer, but I have a quota of explosions to witness each day.
