ha! the split toe in your tabi are not made to capture the rope LOL! Lets see ya find the knots in the dark. You should be able to pull your weight up the line by just upper buddy strength, or at least if you have to do it using the standard military rope ascending method.

You ALWAYS want to field test your equipment and weapons. You want to have confidence in them and know they'll do the job they're designed to do. And be on the lookout for better quality stuff...then replace your inferior stuff with it.

Yep it was working great. I used to have a big tree in my back yard and I had a similar knotted rope. Great training with the Tabi toe climbing.
