most of the jokes have nothing to to with New Zealand, that's why it's funny. it's not a joke to anyone but to the people watching the show. They are poking fun at how little everyone knows about their country. (especially how little Americans know about the rest of the world)

I disagree. I thought the songs were really good and the scripts well written. Lots of the jokes were kind of like 'inside jokes' where you would actually have to understand what they're saying to get or you'll miss something important.
