  • Check out our videos about how to rope braid! It's a kinda different rope braid!(:

  • Can you make a video of the whole process from start to finish? Suggestions for beginners starting to work with leather? I'm trying to make a loin cloth that is comfortable to run in and won't chaffe my thighs.

  • @beefcake352 i have 4 videos up describing the process just search my videos for loincloth,.. good thing your making this,.. nothing to rub on yer thighs but your thighs

  • I really like this video on how to make the 4 rope braid.. I actually use fleece and make dog tuggies and dog leashes using this braid method. Thank you

  • Just wanted to say thank you for this video, I needed to turn some long thin rope into a much thicker short rope for a project and this was exactly the method I needed and the way you explained it was nice and simple! It worked perfectly for my needs. Thanks again!

  • Thanks a lot for making this video! I've been searching Utube videos today specifically looking for a video on how to do a 4 strand rope braid. There definitely aren't many! The way to showed how to do it was perfect! I even Googled 4 strand rope braid and found nothing useful. So, I'm glad you thought of making this video to share the knowledge.

  • Thanks Man! G,day My name is Mark I live in Australia. Very easy to follow just need to lock it into the old hard drive(my Memory) I have used your tutorioal a few times now and have used a rope braid in a few dfifferent apllications, One was as a strap for a leather fringed bag I made my wife and other app's. Thanks again for sharing. "Have a wonderful day" :)

  • that was a really nice tutorial wow what talanted folks are in this world . I built one and it fits fine .I dont weare underware and the breech cloath is wonderful but you answered the problem of wind blowing and too much exposure all the best Gurkirpal Singh longbeard1407

  • @longbeard1407 thank you sir,.. i am happy to have helped (if i did) i knew the wind was always a problem with a loincloth so i invented a cockbag and slapped it in there,.. i couldnt believe how nicely it cupped everything,.. will soon be doing a video on a snatch hammock for the ladies loincloth!! thank you for your comment,.. it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to get good comments,.. you know,.. like i DO actually help people out there

  • i didnt realise it was actually a cockbag!! I was paying attention to the braiding really...hahaha

  • You do deserve a comment and truly this is actually very valuable knowledge. And we should all appreciate people like you that share their knowIegde with everyone passing on to the next generations arts and crafts almost forgotten. I love the little socklike piece that fits on your toes, i usually wrap strings around my ankles and it is not very convenient i have to admit.

Well, have a great day, i envy your rancho. or however its called.. im greek we dont have desert around..

  • You should call this "4 string braiding for dummies" Thanks a lot ! Finally I could follow directions with success!

  • Thankyou, make my girlfriend happy

  • Thanks for the video, i liked the braiding part, it was very good and well explained. and i did not know a "c#*k bag" was still made/ used these days.

  • @wearblack12 as far s i know of,.. its kinda my own invention,.. although its been used for millenia i am sure,.. it was never called a cockbag or a chicken sack,.. a rooster holster,... or a monkey gripper,... holy smokes,.. the semantics can go on and ON!! LOL,.. and if ya want you can go commando under the loincloth if ya want,.. but it wont be very legal unless ya got dem jewels covered up,.. so you have to have the cockbag and the buttfloss to keep it all in place, thanks for the comment

  • Thanks man, I was looking for a tutorial so I can make a bike whip and this was perfect, major props.

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

  • Thanks muchly for this video, it really helped me understand what everybody else in their (vastly inferior) videos were talking about. Esp. about the need to "twist" or "go around" the 2nd and 3rd cords.

I am braiding a huge arse length of brown and black 550 cord into a rope to make a horse halter.

    Cheers:)

    PMZ

  • Great explaination AND, you showed it really well, some others block half the dang thing and you miss steps.. Very good thanx!

  • Thank you:) I have been trying to learn this braiding method all day and your video made it easiest to understand.

  • @Alyzabeth01 thanks alyza,.. i appreciate the comment,.. i just tell it like the way i would want to be told,.. hehe,.. glad it worked,.. be safe!

  • Thank you. I make mens costumes for ballet and we have a show coming up requiring leather cod pieces and this candid explanation has been most helpful. Since i don't have the man bits myself your guidance has been quite useful. Did miss you in your loin cloth for this one though.

  • thank you , my father and i were trying to figure out how to braid my four ropes into one. making our own tow ropes for off roading

  • @chipechawa ahhhh,.. so glad i could be of assistance,.. hope it all comes out well!

  • Okay, so I'm doing a search for leather branding techniques and I find yours. So because I'm on my phone, I can't even see the full title, let alone descriptions or comments. I'm watching and getting the hang of it, replaying the beginning several times over and by the time I can let do it on my own, the video is just playing out and I'm branding away and hear "butt floss" and "cockbag" and it was like a record scratching to a halt. I laughed so fucking hard, I think I woke my neighbours.

  • @allrequiredfields LOL sounds like fun LOL,.. my branding i used an old bronzing rod,.. bent it into my shape and stuck a block of wood on the handle, the nice part of using a bronzing rod is they are long enough to provide enough length for the design and if you do it right the end poe right into the end of the wood

  • very nice explanation helped me very well

  • Did you start these as a kid playing cowboy and Indians?

  • nope, started leatherwork to make myself a duster, cause i couldnt find any that i liked,.. after 3 trenchcoats and 4 coats and 6 vests,.. i decided a loincloth would be cool,.. so i whipped one up one day,.. very comfortable once you get used to the buttfloss

  • How do u put that on?

  • it is sewn directly to the front flap of loincloth leather, i will be making a video of that shortly, i have lost my 2 pieces of leather that i had prepared for the video,.. once i find those i will git er done.. then its just putting it together and whammo!

  • what did you use to stitch the cock bag together ?

  • i used nylon artificial sinew,. real sinew can be used as well,.. other parts will be published shortly had some things happen and i have been delayed
