  • My orchestra teacher showed me this. During the middle, he stood up, found a picture, and showed it to me. I looked at the video, back at the picture, and back at the video, and my jaw dropped. She was in the picture. My orchestra teacher taught her.

  • c'est magique

  • Music is universal. Its magical and beautiful wherever you go <3

  • wow she has gained a lot of weight since then

  • i got to see them in concert!!! they r truely amazing!(:

  • I wish this was on Full HD

  • had a cahance to see them live but had a death in my family so... didnt get to go... oh well! their pretty aweesome!!

  • show muito bom

  • Needs more cowbell.

  • She killed it

  • Im 18 and i fucking cried, damm beautiful!

  • that was INASNE!!!

  • I. Love. This. Band.

  • this is so a poser thing

    good music still

  • Hmmm... Albeniz by a firing squad. Not my cup of tea.

  • Wow, such a fast Asturias!!!

I like the performance, but Asturias is not played like that!

  • @steppingrock i love the slow tempo classical guitar performed Asturias, but this modern kinda of performance also gives people a legendary feeling.

  • So delightful as those little Vivaldi and klezmer references are this must be among the cheesiest renditions of Albeniz's Asturias I have ever heard. Expertise in violin playing or showmanship, however high it be, is beside the point in this respect. I tend to find honest rock and metal performances and genuine classical tradition of interpretation both very appealing. This, however, seems to fall quite awkwardly between. My politest applause, but too cheesy for me really. Anyone feel the same?

  • @abacab54321 Sorry to disagree with you abacab (No actually I'm Not) but after reading your remarks I feel that you are either an ignorant boor or a talentless, tin-eared jerk. You aren't likely all of those so be honest, which ones are you???

You have a nice day now, y'here !!!

  • @Tburg1958 Cheers, Tburg. You sure come across as a nice fellow. Was it the 'cheesiness' part that so got under your skin? Well, rather than a piece of constructive criticism it was only a blurb one could've done without, an expression of personal opinion, or a passing symptom of jerkiness if you please, after listening versions of this piece and studying a transcription. Btw, what could there possibly be for you to be sorry about in disagreeing? Other than getting absurdly upset and personal?

  • @Tburg1958 To gauge the one's lack of talent might is waste of time when there is genuine interest towards the things one chooses to study, don't you think? Thus I must admit feeling quite comfortable right where I stand, learning more every day just for the hell of it. Not a matter of competition or quantification, but one of cultivation. How much is sitting pretty with any amount of your implied talent, refined taste and sense of entitlement doing for you? The same remedy goes with ignorance.

  • @Tburg1958 Musicwise, such quasi-improvisatory passages as those on the latter half of this version often incorporate stylistic allusions and little quotes from various sources other than the original piece itself and, ears of tin or not, there is material to that effect to be heard here also. I went on to establish that I really respect and enjoy wildly different stylistic approaches to any musical material, but felt a bit shortchanged here regardless the effect it makes on you.

  • @Tburg1958 Making crossover music with style is obviously not an easy feat to pull off. I take it a listener's right to assume a critical or analytical stance without being an expert, as well as share it without being taken as denouncing all it's merits. That's how appreciating a cultural product goes. If it's the misuse of language that annoys you, mind you that not all of us have English as their first language. Something tells me you're not one to care much about such things though.

  • @Tburg1958 Finally, other than coming up with a generous list of my possible personal shortcomings with plenty of perks to pick and choose from, you really failed to make any relevant point to accompany your rant. But hey, from a boor to boor, there's absolutely nothing wrong with getting protective around things one most cherishes. And it even borders on the understandable to succumb to devoted fanaticism according to one's personal taste. Or lack thereof.

    Have a nice one yourself, y'hear !

  • @abacab54321 urban translation please. thank you.

  • @Tburg1958 WOW !! I guess I really hit your hot button. Five responses. (although you could have said it all in one).

You are right about one of your comments though. I am indeed a "nice fellow." I have been a "nice fellow" for 75 years.

  • UNA MARAVILLA...! AIRES QUE ESCUCHÉ DE NIÑO, RECOGIDOS Y TRANSFORMADOS EN CLÁSICOS POR ISAAC ALBENIZ... INTERPRETADOS POR

UNA JUVENTUD MAGISTRAL, PLETORICA DE ENTUSIASMO Y BELLEZA...

  • music music music..my ears are so happy inside this beautiful noise!

  • I'd Tap Dat!1:)

  • super !

  • a.w.e.s.o.m.e!

  • Nicely played, ruined by the band :(

  • Bravoooo........!!!!

  • WOOOO 2:20 - 2:30 NICE!!! =D

  • there's always some db who's like "why isn't she in the kitchen" or some bs, and I'm just tired of that kinda joke and it wasnt funny at the first place. if you guys keep being sexist, why don't you guys try that? or just go back to your pigpen and waste your time playing video games, fat ass.

  • i played this in the London Festival Hall and she was my inspiration <3

  • As much as they are skilled, "Albéniz wouldn't know what hit him" is a huge overstatement. They skip the quiet/slow part of the piece altogether, and the lead girl starts making mistakes when they do the double-tempo ending.

The whole thing could use a rehaul. Yes, they're skilled, but they fail both at being artistically interesting (because they miss the point altogether) and commercially viable -- because of the simplistic, unexciting arrangement and beyond-their-skills showmanship.

  • HAHA, terrible

  • I GET to PLAY WITH BARRAGE!!!! i am so excited! wish me luck youtubers!

  • HEY!! I GOT TO PLAY WITH BARRAGE!!! IT WAS SWEET!!!

  • Just curios... how the hell do you play that on piano????

  • @pandaisatara we did that with them. it was awesome : ]

  • I've never understood how people can possibly think "it lacks soul" to be an objective argument. That's just a fancy way of saying it doesn't match your personal taste.

I think it has a healthy dosage of soul and spirit and even a couple of poltergeists as well.

  • Muito loko

    um dia eu chego láaaaa

    o ce chego...

  • guess what!!!!!! MY ORCHESTRA GETS TO PLAY ON STAGE WITH THEM!!! i was like oh god r u serious?! ive always wanted to play with famous ppl!

  • I wish I could play like that :(

  • 49 pessoas sofrem de diarréia mental.

  • O-M-G

  • this is like my favorite barrage song it is so awesome!

  • Cet arrangement est vraiment génial !

  • And in piano, the best.

  • Excellent but in the classical guitar is much better.

  • Excellent composition ! super... merci bcp du plaisir...

  • Samvel Yervinyan's playing of Asturias is very much better than this "little" girl. Alicia still needs a looooooooooooooot to learn ...........

  • *Sighs dreamily* Don't you guys and girl just love hearing the voice of the violins? it's like a beautiful lady singing very beautifully and gracefully. If it was in the medeivel days, men would beg on their knees infront of her and also they'll have tears of joy. i'm being very honest here. If I was a guy, i'd do that. In the medeivel's days.

  • how does she get is to sound so smooth and not scratchy?

  • [LOL]

  • They are coming to Fort Myers High School March 4th!!! YESS!!!!!

  • @Eyesmak LUCKY!

  • does anyone where i can get the music sheet???? please????

  • @MoonCresent For piano solo?

  • OMG!! really really I love it!!

  • This is dreadful - good idea... but really dreadful performance.

  • @sofakingvile

hey, show us what YOU do with a violin and then try and come back with your comments... ever been told that you might be dreadful too?

  • @Xtof68

So the only people who can gauge a performance are people who are able to perform? So if you can't cook, you can't say you didn't enjoy a meal? If you don't drive, you can't tell someone is a bad driver? Your thought process is warped -and the performance remains dreadful.

It does not mean she can't play - she's virtuous in her performance but it lacks life and soul. And, if you disagree, it is absolutely your right. I know this piece inside and out and this performance is BAD.

  • @sofakingvile

I won't start a fight with you. I simply disagree, just because it'd never come to my mind to make a negative comment on something I could not do myself, whatever it is, no matter if cooking, painting, playing an instrument, driving,or any other thing that requires some skills. You did not say you hadn't enjoyed it, you said "it's bad" just as if you were able to perform on that level, not speking of doing better. Your behaviour is bad, ... and your taste is not a reference. Bye..

  • @Xtof68

    Piffle.

  • @Xtof68 umm....no offense, but i agree with sofaking. although it was bad to say that the performance was dreadful, it could have been a lot better. well, it isn't really Alicia's fault- the piece itself is flawed. it really does lack soul.

  • Meeeeeeu Deus!!! Que coisa linda!!!

    Noossa!!!

    Maravilhoso, cara!

  • she has to masturbate your penis very fast :D ..

  • WOOW .this is just Amazing ..

  • الله يهدك عقدتيني ......ايه البت دي

  • Fabuloso!!

    xD

  • simplemente genial

  • I got to play with this group it was incredible

  • i would kill 4 the sheet music 2 this on viola.... actually *to dad* hey dad can i borrow the Glock 17 i need some sheet music

  • @AvatarRifle well you can try to play it by ear...that's what i'm doing

it's working sorta fine, but you need a lot of patience and determination to try to learn it by ear.

And if you can't memorize it like that, try to write out the music on a sheet of paper. I find it better to just try it out on my instrument. Good luck! :)

  • SHE IS SO PRETTY!! AND I WISH I COULD PLAY LIKE THAT, IM A VIOLA

  • @TheLgoucher I wish my viola could type that well.

  • .... they are amazing !! :)

  • this is beutiful!...

  • When i started to learn Violin...my teacher said : ''The Violin is the King of all music organs'' is true !!! and with Violin u can play and wil sounds good all the kind of music !!!! amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Bravo girls !!!

  • i play the violin i wud explode just from looking at the sheet music for this... skillid

  • i love that on the violin even more xD

  • fantastic! Every movement of her head and her hair suit with the rhythm. It's really the best version I have ever heard. I play the violin, and I know she excells in her playing.

I like the way she plays. Thanks for posting the video.

  • @Abina34 you sound like a pervert

  • omg!! super.......

  • i must stop football

  • I agree that it look astonishingly difficult but it sound more like an original piece greatly influenced by Asturias that a real adaptation.

  • Нет,ребята,-это бред пьяного ёжика, который где то давно слышал Астурию,но никак не может вспомнить-чё там дальше?..

  • this is not real... couldn't possibly exist...

  • I saw them a while back, took my breath away :o

  • f*cking ridiculous, is it a show, or music? it's none ...

  • Awesome! Awesome!! Awesome!!!!

  • makes me prooud to be a cello player

  • This is amazing

  • nice ass

  • Fantastic !!!!!

  • Fantastic!

  • Stupéfiant et beau !!! quelle énergie !!! Bravo les femmes !!!

  • amazing!! love it

  • I agree ANDIEM789, alot of flamenco music is in half of full step tuning, my guess is that they used the piece that Isaac Albeniz composed. not the original piece.

  • @Intigyjj

where the hell did you heard flamenco here, nothing to do with flamenco...

    this is spanish classical music.

  • is it just me, or does this sound totally off key, or flat.

  • @567done it's totally you. this is amazing.

  • @567done nope just you

  • à la Isaac..............super

  • And a good play ! She is awesome ! Who adapted this master song for violin ?

  • @Giltindor

    Mister marshall. the artistic director

  • Bravos !!

  • de donde son estas muchachas ? Virtuosisimas

  • NIIICE!!, buenos arreglos :)

  • These are some talented musicians.

  • pretty cool man

  • @tsumanitutanka jaja, ciertamente, no es muy bueno el arreglo para violín, pero recuerda que la pieza original es para piano =O no para guitarra

  • her continual shaking her head to keep her hair out of here eyes is annoying, but other than that, great.

  • no creo que tengas razon la verdad, porque la fiesta pagana por ejemplo la tocan en la guitarra flauta oboe, etc... y es para violin.....

  • muy bien!!

  • @tsumanitutanka what if Isaac Albéniz liked this if he were alive today?

  • you seem to forget that this piece of music was written for piano! ;)

  • @fsk132 Really? You think she forgot that! It's a free world - No law against it, do inform me if I'm wrong on that. Nice job given that! HA!

  • @springrobin wel... it's a free world and no law against stupid comments without understanding what people are talking about.

    Cheers!

  • complimenti molto bravi

  • I wish I could get this version of the sheet music. I have another version, but its not as good, I don't have the parts she does past 1:20. I emailed barrage about it, but they said they hadn't released it as sheet music yet...that was about a year ago... Im startimng to think they'll never release it. If anyone knows of a place I can get my hands on this arrangement, please let me know.

  • I know what you mean. I've been trying the same thing with devil's nightmare too. But unfortunately, I'm met with the same reply.

I've given up waiting and I'm in the middle of arranging a guitar version for quartet.

  • Very good performance. But I actually love Bisengaliev performing this piece. And technically he is much better.

  • its a shame to destroy this brilliant peace

  • i luv barrage and i play the violin 2 so thts y im a fan

  • This is my second favorite piece from Barrage, next to Mountain Spring! AMAZING!

  • outstanding

  • jajajajajajajaa.......

  • tomorrownight I am goiing to enjoy it in Rabotheater in Hengelo Holland

    looking forward

  • Piano and guitar variants are better IMHO, but girl playing solo violin is GREAT (cannot find appropriate word to express my delightment)

  • @0xoRial WTF are you talking about, this is the best version of Asturias, probably the only good version at all that actually seems to have a message rather than practicing scales. The "originals" put me to sleep and not because they were sweet like lullabies.

  • @godgunsncountry probably you are just not a lover of classical music. i do not think we should discuss it, because it is really matter of taste

  • The originals put you to sleep because you are too stupid to understand sophisticated art. Percussion makes anything simpler thats y u like this!

  • Don't forget rhythm and melody and bridges that actually match the rest of the song, those are other reasons I like this over the garbage "original"!

You're only guarding your silly elitism, because there is no good music to guard.

  • Excelente

  • Liberace and Rieu both approve, hackilly.

  • si es verdad .. u guys sucks, i hate ur idiots comments "great aasss" imagine if u ar a girl ...

  • shes got a nice ass.

  • Amo el internet, hay un monton de ignorantes que creen que saben de musica... :D

  • estoy de acuerdo contigo odio esos comentarios

  • she ' s got a great ass !!!!!!

  • Nice play and interpretation. And also a nice looking girl. Shows that classical music is not just for old (fashioned) people.

  • Comment removed

  • As nice as it is to look at, it's sad to see the girls wearing such skimpy outfits. Not the same modesty the Barrage from 10 years ago had.

  • Omg... i love this song..... I wish barrage would put out another sheet music book with this song, running horses, and devils nightmare. I be sooo happy. haha

  • DIOS! impresionante. Para que mas palabras.

  • Just saw them live at Hamilton High School in Hamilton, OH. Our orchestra students got to perform with them on stage for a couple of numbers. One word: AMAZING!
