SO I see you painted all your Nids yellow based, is their anywhere I could look for closer more detailed photos of the Nid models and possibly a breakdown of the Paint scheme...Pwease :)
@darwa1 Page 92 specifically says, and I quote, "Note that occasionally the Codexes allow the player to include several units in his army at the cost of a single force organisation slot (like DEDICATED TRANSPORTS, e.t.c.). Apart from being bought as a single choice, these units operate and count as separate units in ALL RESPECTS."
Therefore, dedicated transports are a separate vehicle for the purposes of determining kill points, and the opponent will receive a kill point for destroying it.
@AGrumpyPanda Which is exactly why i provided that reference. You said "Dedicated transports don't count for kill points". You just helped prove my point.
@darwa1 I made that comment before I actually knew that rule existed, and forgot I made it, so my reply was out of context. I assumed I had made a comment from my present knowledge, not my past.
@ordoxeno1 yes I could have charged the gaunts in but I was banking on getting at least a few wounds from the carnifex, which I did earlier and caldera made his saves. I didn't want to tie up the unit in cc because I thought it would have been over kill. Plus I think the tervigon was out of 6"
I had a whole bunch of tzeentch marines that i sold because i couldnt work out a good use for them, then again, i also wasnt that well experienced then, I really loved your unit choices and set up, and you are sorely tempting me
Because combat resolution would have killed the other unit because of fearless wounds or over-run/sweeping advance. In the first case vs the carnie, if the lord kills gaunts and takes no wounds back from the carnie (ie, lives) that would have been more combat res, and two checks on both the carnie and gaunts. vs the marines, same deal -- the marine would target the easy to kill gaunts and generate more wounds vs the tyrant. sometimes crappy units are better left out of combat.
@AdamHarryBols i do see what i mean, but if the termagaunts charged the lord, they would have had a higher initiative and re-rolls to wound (he took adrenal glands and toxin sacs right?). which means that the lord would have to have take more saves, and since being on 1 wound left, he would prolly fail.
what an absolute blood bath... only tervigon and some gaunts left at the one side and single squad of CSM on other... you should have just played to the last man/bug standing
Fantastic battle report, way more fun than usual. Seeing two varied lists with some interesting choices and no repeating unit spams. Also more "fun" commentary and an emphasis on just playing the game for a laugh.
i predicted the Tau will shoot the GK of the table just take 6 10 man squads of Fire Warriors and watch them out range and shoot the GK with S5 shots lol even a deadknight will be cautious of that and yeah lots ov battle suits fill out the elites with them with usual plasma/fusion guns hehe the GK will die in droves, just out ov curiosity give the au a back up of a Eldar Farseer with Runes of Warding just hiding out making all the GK's psychic powers on 3D6 hehehe
GK ppfftt, DE ppfftt it shows that not every1 follows the new shiny armies lol many a laff in there lucky on the 3D6 force weapons lol jammy, brilliant bat rep and did i see 2 more Trygon/Mawlocs at the back shouting let me in i want to eat yummy csm lol
hell yes bringing out the dust collectors ! keep bringing them out ! they are only armies that make good battle reports. people dont want to keep seeing power armour on power armour. shit like this is what we want !

I think you forgot about 3D6 STR 3 hits on gaunts when Tervigon got killed with force weapon. On the video here it looks like they are within 6".

Force swords are not a Tyranid's friend. Which is funny because it's practically the only army that even cares if you have a Force Weapon.
