I have a DS Lite, so WPA on my computer is not compatible. The thing is- I have WPA, not WEP, and I don't plan on changing to WEP, because it might mess up my internet settings. I've looked into getting a WiFi USB connector I seen ( Belkin F6D4050ed Wireless N150 USB Adapter. )

Now what I want to know is will this help me get on the internet giving me the Wi-Fi I need ( Even though my netgear wireless router is a WPA ) and if so will it affect my internet on my laptop that Im using now.

@mangakid987 yes you can get wifi for the ds original i have one and i had wifi when i had wireless broadband but now i have time warner and i cant get it to work i keep getting a closed gray lock and error code52100 im still working on it / it dosent work on my ds lite eather but it did before hope that helps

Ok I have reset my fricking router and its worked before. and for some reason it wont connect back again and wont bypass my ip. and it wont even look up the name of my router. its connected to my wii though all I remember was, I had went to my default gateway settings and done something and then I restored my laptop and then I reset my cable modem and I reset my wireless router and it came up as the name of my wireless router on my network settings and left it alone but now its not even working

This only happens when I try to play games, (My internet browser works perfectly fine, but when I go to do the connection it has a gray lock, but I can go into Advanced Settings and it works fine from there). Ugh, fail. He just demonstrated that you can not connect if it has a grey lock, that's probably what you have. This means your encyrption for your router is WPA, lower it to WEP.
