I've had 5 androids and new ones and still stick with my Iphone 4 that ive had for the past few months. Should of kept it with Tmobile, but ill stick with att for now. This android bull is getting out of control. They are MESSY phones. Responsive when you swipe and the whole damn screen goes bonkers? Iphone doesnt do that. It's way smoother. I know that resolution ratio's are on completely different scales from company to company, and there are no industry standards. I don't know that phone displays are the same, but considering that TV's are ALL ABOUT display I can assume that you comparing the iphone's resolution ratio with Samsung's makes little sense. Not trying to be rude. Great review!!! I just think it's helpful info.

@AngeltheMartian i disagree, the evo is actually better for the media side(excluding of coarse the video/audio recording quaity as the epic is much better) but the evo has support for the developers that want to ave 3rd party software like custom UIs and upgrading (to which samsung has no foreseeable future). the epic has a quicker GPU and CPU with its hummingbird but it eventually gets bogged by the way the samsung saves its files so it gets incredibly slow after just a few weeks of use.

Obviously, the Epic 4g and the Evo 4g has everyone's attention and they are good phones with cheap plans (can it get any better?).

BUT, I think the Evo is better because it feels like a more reliable and sturdy phone. The Epic feels cheap and the keyboard is CRAP (trust me, I had blackberries and the HTC pro touch 2 and their keyboards go far beyoond the Epic's). The only thing the Epic has on the Evo is its AMOLED screen, but you gotta pay and extra $50 for it... worth it? idk.

I'd also like to add that HTC was really on the ball getting Android 2.2 on the phone as quick as they did. I think they realize the true geeks in most of us that use these types of phones really wanted it and they delivered.

EVO and Epic Both great phones. Other than the hardware keyboard, which isnt so much the deal breaker for me, I much prefer HTC's UI to Samsungs. If I could get Sense on the Epic, I think I would go for that. But for now it's the EVO. I might add though, the multi-touch in the browser kinda sucks, it tends to jump back to the top of the page when ou pinch somewhere on the page.

I like the color and brightness on the epic

but the slide out keyboard is a reeally bad idea.

The slide out key bored is a ploy by most carriers for something else to break or snap off.

I had the rumor for sprint when it first came out. The flip screen as well as the keyboard broke within a year. I'm always careful with my electronics, btw.

Overall Evo is the better choice if your with sprint

@budala135 not really. Android phones are starting to look alike and all those different skins mess with the OS. The iPhone will be a iPhone love or hate it. Small upgrades each year but the best user experience. It's easy to use and pretty what the general public likes. The vanilla android is the best android experience.

@nicky06011983 lol messes with the OS? negative. i have a diff. skin on my droid X and running a live background and have all the backgrounds the OS keeps running and my phone is still much faster than the iphone 4. the easy to use interface of the iphone 4 is great for my grandparents but for the younger generation we dont need a handicap phone. only thing iphone 4 has going for it is the retina display but id take my 4.3" screen over a few extra pixels anyday

@cz27227348 i would say descent i dont really want to give a definitive good or bad as a users use has a lot to do with it. For just making calls it will last you without worry. Myself on the other hand check my email and facebook routinely and I tend to talk a lot on it as well(approx 1hr to 1.75hrs) on battery and it lasst me all day(approx 10 to 15hrs). Ive haven't used the mp3 player much nor gamed on it a whole lot which i think will cut that time to 6 to 10 hrs. Like I said it depends on

The phone its self can drain extra battery from accessing 4g network, notifications and bluetooth connectivity along with screen light time all of these which you can turn off and preserve the battery. Like i stated i think it's decent considering what type of phone it is and i think all other smart phones should be in the same battery life ballpark. I really don't understand why some these companies don't start utilizing solar technology

The fact that the evo has more pixels doesn't make it obviously shoot better pictures... You have to actually compare the picture quality.
