These companies have got to stop wasting time and money making ridiculous products that won't sell. It's like having a Samsung Memoir cell phone, you cannot add apps to it, everything is setup for you...and at $500 you're getting screwed. Apple took a better direction (sans AT&T) with it's iPhone 4 and iPad (but still have a long way to go). If you don't want to follow the leader, then think ahead. Fix what Apple left behind.

i want this so much, so much, i was plannin to get it when its on sale, it was literally beautiful and ideal for my uses, until i saw 16 gigs... i mean seriously, 16 GIGS ONLY? thats the only thing that bothers me, and i think i might not get it ONLY cause of that. cmon lenovo, 16 gigs aint shit. plus, even though u can plug one and the other, i find it uncomfortable to carry like 5 usb's for 1 mini laptop. jesus, i was so excited to get this... now im reconsidering for real.

I have a Toshiba nb205 netbook. It's faster, has more ram, has a harddisk (250Gb too), runs windows and I regularly can get 10hrs of battery on it. The only downside is that it is very slightly larger and heavier. So why does this guy think this is so cool?

Is it touch screen as well or just a laptop? You can't load anything on it so it's kind of pointless. Why not just buy a laptop and load your own linux. And that readable usb device is cool but it's kind of huge for 4-16 gigs. Would be easier to buy a flash card device and put it in your pocket.

It won't ever run a windows OS or Wine for linux. It's ARM. You might get some pretty good game emulation on that thing, look up the OpenPandora if you're interested.

it will be $500, and it seems cute, but i think we need bigger processor, and i'm not sure if we can perfectly watch a HD movie on it. we sould have to wait for the Lenovo IdeaPad U1, which has 12" Touchscreen monitor, and IntelCore2Duo + Qualcomm ARM processor.

10 hours? I'll have to see it to believe it. I have not had good experiences with batteries. I've had my Macbook Pro for four years going through as many batteries with the current one lasting only about 20 min.

4 years is a lot of time. How many years between batteries and have you practiced proper charging cycles to extend the charge of your battery? I had one for 3 years and i finally had apple replace it when the battery got down to about 3 hours.

@mer1331design Its designed more for college and such. Yu can go to a Cafe or somehing ad write your paper instead of beng stuck in your dorm. Thats just to give an example. You could also just get a lap top buNetbooks are more portable then a laptop bu still provide the nice sized screen and keyboard that you dont get with a iphone .
