Hi, what editor would u recommend.
i downloaded aptana & cannot seem to configure it.
I have installed ruby & gems/rails. cannot seem to get the editor 2 compile.
Do u have a website link about or any ides please? thanks

@MartialVidz Notepad++ is pretty good, emacs is great if you don't mind the learning curve.
Are you on Windows? Mac? Linux?

FreeRIDE is great for Windows and Linux users, is simple enough that it won't get in the way or overpower you like some other IDE's will. I enabled a bunch of stuff on it and I do all my coding on it at the moment.

ConTEXT editor is very good for windows, it comes with highlights most languages. And highlights for Ruby code available for download.

@minitah I'm afraid ConTEXT doesn't even suport Ruby language..
Just wondering why you didnt mention Komodo Edit among the text editors, isnt it quite popular?

i am seriously considering E Text Editor for Windows. It is a Textmate clone pretty much. Its light weight and flexible.
