  • Weird how all the dead guys were on the "bad" team.

  • It's hard to believe that Harley Race is the only surviving member of Andre the Giant's team.

  • At 5:25 it looks as if Duggan says "bullshit" but what he actually says is "I strongly query that decision ref"

  • It's hard to believe half of the guys in this match have passed on. Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude are two of my personal favorites and it's a shame they aren't still around, same goes for Andre and Dino Bravo. RIP all four legends.

  • frenchie martin

  • Heel team is the best team ever. Would have been even better with Heel Martel instead of Bravo.

  • Look Andres got Chico

  • Mr. Perfect, Dino Bravo, Andre the Giant,Curt Henning and Harley Race. Probably the greatest assembled team in the history of the Survivor Series. Excellent team work, and ofcourse Andre sacrificing himself for the good of the team.

  • @NWO4EVER3000 Yeah but its so sad that all the last three of Andre's team members are gone. I miss these days of true "WRESTLING" unlike today nothing but boring 25 mins of talk. I miss WCW and the WWF {Hence WWF and not WWE}

  • 5:23 "Bullshit!" hahaha

  • It was a dumb move by Duggan getting himself disqualified.

  • I really enjoyed seeing Andre wrestle.

  • Thats so sad that the only people alive on the heel team are the 2 oldest, Harley Race and Bobby the Brain Heenan.

  • gotta love rick rude

  • @TheUndertaker1471

You're an idiot. Harley Race is the only member of that team still alive. Jake and Hacksaw were on the other team.

On a better note though, this is when wrasslin' was good.

  • Why in the hell would Jim Duggan get himself DQed when it was only him and Jake Roberts left on the team AGAINST FOUR OTHER GUYS? He left his partner after for dead.

  • Fanik8 no Hacksaw's still alive and so's jake roberts!

  • andré the giant the best

  • i read in that wwe wrote about andre that he didn't like jake and dino bravo

  • Did Scott Casey have dirty pictures of Vince McMahon to get into this match?

  • @NJPlayer79 lol probably but all I know is that Scott Casey replaced B.Brian Blair on Jake and Hacksaw's team..Probably replaced him on that same day.

  • They ran out of "Good guy" substitutes. Casey replaced B. Brian Blair the night of the event. Blair originally a replaced Junk Yard Dog whose contract was not re-newed a month prior along with Don Muraco, who was replaced on the Ultimate Warrior's team by Jumping Jim Brunzell. They used 50 wrestlers including the Conquistadors. The Killer Bees had just been broken up as a tag team, so Blair and Brunzell were the last Faces available so they had to use a top pre-lim bum. Casey got the call.

  • @davescott29 Thank you for sharing that information. I always wonder what the hell happen?

  • @NJPlayer79 LOL

  • This match was severely butchered to just 10 minutes, from the actual running time of nearly 30 minutes. Thank God for the Anthology that restored Survivor Series to its full unedited glory.

  • Bravo, Andre, Rude and Hennig all gone... that´s crazy

  • this is sad half these guys are gone

  • I love how jake was a bigger face than what hogan was cus if you watch one hogan match then you have seen every one of them cus when jake and hogan feuded the fans chanted DDT DDT

  • damn this is a classic...

  • jake lives on

  • @beasttotal1000, andre was screaming like a girl? he sounded like an ape!!!

  • Rick Rude is so sexy from 5:30 to around 6:20. I love his reaction when Jake grabs his tights.

  • 3:04 whats the name of the wrestler attack giant?

  • Boy am I glad that WWE changed their minds & are NOT cancelling the Survivor Series this year after all. They were going to replace with another PPV. Thanks goodness that they saw the light. Survivor Series LIVES Woohoo!:-D

  • @ckendall67 Survivor Series is name only. The SS this year is pure crap, worse than any other PPV of this year. I wish they would have cancelled the name and stopped dragging it int he mud. This PPV will suck ass this year. It is not Survivor Series anymore, it is just another shit PPV the WWE makes.

  • @ckendall67

I first watched this video in 1993 and had only been watching wrestling for 2 years. I was still 80/90% mark but just looking at the matchup, I knew Jake was fucked big time. Andre The Giant, Rick Rude, and Mr Perfect are enough trouble, and Bravo while not great was still getting a forced push from here until 91. Harley Race was jobber heel at this point without his king gimmick and while he is a legend in wrestling, none of that greatness was from his WWF run.

  • @guardian08527

Race's best WWF stuff was his mini feud with Hogan. They had a pretty good death match on Coliseum Video back in the day.

Then you have team Jake/Duggan. Jake is a good member for any team and a worthy captain. Duggan sucks for these type of matches. Always got himself DQ'd or counted out. I would of put Santana as the #2 draft pick on the face team. Former IC champ and former tag champ.

  • @guardian08527

Ken Patera was a former IC champ and the generic world strongest man. But that was YEARS ago and after the prison stint, he went to shit more or less. He was jobber food, constantly loosing to guys like Dino Bravo and Bad News Brown. I think he left soon after this ppv awell. Then you have Scott Casey. A third string team member. It was supposed to be JYD who I never considered that hot of a team choice, but I can bet he wouldn't of lost clean.

  • @guardian08527

JYD was always getting conked with a foreign object or counted out or cheap pinned in the ropes. Never saw him lose clean in the WWF. Brian Blair, while an alternate, skill wise I would take him over JYD. But his contract went up and he was gone so poor Roberts gets stuck with Scott Casey. Casey was a baby face jobber. Like Barry Horowitz's good brother or something. Never saw him win a match, if he was a football team he would of been 0-16.

  • @guardian08527 So let's compile the teams championship accomplishments of the WWF/WCWNWA Jake: No major titles Duggan: 1 US title and 1 TV title Santana: 2 IC titles and 2 tag titles Patera: 1 IC title Casey: Crap Vs Andre: 1 lame world title Rude: 1 IC title and 1 US title, not counting the lame International title Perfect: 2 IC titles, 1 US title and 1 WCW tag Bravo: 1 WWF tag title Race: 8 time NWA champ and first NWA/WCW/WWE US champ ever
  • @guardian08527

Bottom line, Jake's team was pretty much outclassed when looking back at everybodies accomplishments. 5 to 2 odd's that the baby faces would of won. With the heavy editing, Patera and Casey went out like crap jobbers, Santana helped make up for the suck by knocking out Race then Duggan got himself DQ'd when he smacked Bravo. Jake got killed but managed to pin Rude who was being a smartass then Andre DQ'd himself for attempted murder on Roberts.

  • @guardian08527

One of the best parts of this match was Curt Hennig. As soon as Andre was thrown out of the match and knocked Jake cold, he jumped right in and simply pinned Jake. He's probably the only heel in the promotion at the time who would of done that. The rest would fo stood around mocking Jake like some lame comic villain. Personally I think Bravo should of been down and out from the 2X4 shot. Perfect should of been the soul survivor.

  • @guardian08527 In the case of Jake Roberts

NWA World TV title (Georgia) (twice)

NWA World Six-Man tag titles (Texas

    WCCW TV title

Mid-South (precursor to Bill Watts' UWF) North American title (twice)

    Calgary Stampede North American title

These may not have been major titles but they were still very important in their own right.

  • Another survivor series thrashing for team jake - dont forget the vipers going down 4-0 at SS 90

  • So Ronnie Garvin for Tito and Harley for Red Rooster!? Still, It been a better team with Garvin for Scott Casey, not Tito, he was the 3rd best on that team! I remember seeing this thinking,"Man, Jake is screwed." I mean all he had was Duggan and Tito, and still. Andres team was stacked! Too bad JYD got fired, cuz Jake, Duggan, Tito, Ronnie, and JYD would be better than this, or even add in Pantera, but Scott Casey was so a throw away!

  • @shadydawg555 Ronnie Garvin was with AWA at the time and fought in the "Superclash 3" PPV in December of that year. He immediately left after that to WWF were he debuted at the 1989 Royal Rumble.

  • @ddhighlite god he was a great 1

  • @ddhighlite I agree 100%

  • Damn.... Harley Race is only one on his team that's still alive

  • @ddhighlite Rick Rude isn't underrated you muppet only someone who thinks he's underrated would type that.

  • Listen to the fans too bad the fans of today aren't like that cus of them we have this kids stuff plus there are no decent wrestlers like they had here look at the talant loads better and many of them are no longer with us I miss them all there all legends

  • So classic...

  • This must of been the only PPV match Scott Casey made in the WWF

  • dino, rude, andre and henning are wrestling for the big guy now.

  • I had never seen anybody been dq'd after the 5 count before

  • 8:33-that's hilarious, Andre just pushing 4 huge guys down the aisle like they were children

  • Rick Rude was incredible in the ring. He was quite a performer. Seeing this reminds me of how good the WWF show was back then. I love listening to Ventura and Monsoon call a match.

  • Why is it the ref's job to unhook Andre from the ropes?

  • I almost forgot, what else was good about Andre was his abilitiy to hang tied in the ropes like a stranded whale and screaming like a girl.

  • Andre is so overrated, don´t know any wrestler who was that less of abilities of all kinds and so much cheered up. For what, some lame punches from like a ten year old kid? Some bad roaring voice with a real terrible mix of french and english?

The only thing he was good in was being large, so...

  • Oh Yea RIP Dinvo Bravo

  • the only one still living on this team is Harley Race. RIP Andre The Giant, Mr. Perfect and Ric Rude

  • Lookin back I wonder how Jake never got attacked by his snakes... He was never gentle with them to say the least!!! He would just whip them around and toss them carelessly !!!!

  • maybe he fed them first ...

    idk?

  • I love how Jesse used to call Tito Chico

  • and how bobby heenan called his finisher the flying jalapeno

  • The alcoholic is the only one still living 4:10

  • Rude & Hennig were High School buddies. Them plus Tom Zenk, Berzerker, Demolition Smash, Nikita Koloff, & Batlle Kat

  • VHS edited this event to 2 hours, but the original DVD cut runs over 2 hours and 30 minutes. Nice!

  • Great commentary work by Monsoon and Jesse Ventura.

  • Tito was an idiot. Trying a sunset flip on Andre the Giant?

  • damn, sorry, I meant to thumbs *up* your (azariah15's) comment about sunset flip

  • No worries, it's ok.

  • Yeah, that was friggin' hilarious!

  • Now that it's been mentioned, yeah, Andre, Bravo, Rude, & Mr. Perfect all have passed since this event took place:-O:-(

  • hard to believe at the end everyone including the ref are dead except for jake

  • WTF was Scott Casey doing in a major WWF event?? What a joke! Not to mention that Patera was pretty much a jobber at that point of his career.

  • he was a replacement for someone...i remeber watching it and thinking the same...the higher enhancement always did this for rumbles and whatnot

  • 7:46- WTF is that, Bravo?

  • breadbasket...

  • Jake The Snake Roberts was Suposed to have Ken Patera, Scott Casey, Rugged Ronnie Garvin and Hacksaw Jim Duggen. The late Dino Bravo was suposed to have The late Andre The Giant, The late Rick Rude, The late Curt Henning, and Terry Taylor aka The Red Rooster.

  • Andres team is almost entirely dead.. outside of Harley race

  • What a joke jake's team was.. lol

  • IRL Andre and Tito Santana were good friends. It's why Andre made him look good.

  • I think Andre was good friends with *everyone* (well, mostly everyone anyway)...he was always respected in the locker room.

  • Jake Roberts and Jim Dungin had an odd team. It was suposed to be Ken Patera, Rugged Ronnie Garvin and Scott Casey. Dino Bravo and Andre The Giant were suposed to have Terry Taylor aka Red Rooster with Rick Rude and Curt Henning.

  • Mr Perfect(heart attack ), Rick Rude(heart attack) , Andre the Giant (heart attack) & Dino Bravo (murder) ... dead thats more than half the team RIP

  • scott casey replaced a fired JYD

  • Canada's Strongest man? Please...Dino bravo was an armo.

  • the pool of wrestlers must have been quite low back then to have Scott Casey in there, ionly seen him win one match, against Steve Lombardi in '86

  • Wonder why Bravo was allowed to survive.. He sucked after he eliminated food and added nothing but steroids to his diet. Rather one-sided teams too...

  • From what I've heard and his family have said - Bravo was anti steroids and was naturally as strong as he appeared.

  • I would have to say I know nothing about it factually. I do know that he looked completely different in the earlier stages of his career. It was hip deep in that locker room at the time tough...

  • Dino Bravo was NOT on steroids. look at his body. It has fat all around it and he shows no signs of steroid use ie big forehead, balding, etc. Bravo was just strong as fuck!

  • u being a bit naive there!! how do u know that he was NOT on them?? fuckin obvious to me that he was

  • I already explained why but I will reiterate AND add more info. For one, Bravo doesn't have veins popping out everywhere like roided guys do ie Warrior, Chris Masters, Hogan, etc. Bravo also doesn't have a sloped forehead or balding at all. Bravo also has the body of a weightlifter with all the fat like Mark Henry. It isn't hard to see the difference there.

  • yeah...As do many i see down MY gym , the guy took steroids for years. the poppin viens, balding etc is steroids effecting people in different ways. Dino Bravo took roids. FACT

  • How is that a fact? Where is the proof?

  • "To remember Dino Bravo from his WWF days as a heel under the management of Johnny V, or in a tag team with Greg Valentine as the New Dream Team, is to do injustice to what was once an agile, exciting wrestler. Pumped up on steroids in the WWF, Bravo had lost the ability to do much in the ring except pose. But he had made it big nationally."

if whoever wrote that in a book about him is wrong, then I take it all back dude. And no i have no real proof man

  • The year before Rude and Ande were on the same team!!!!

  • So were Jake Roberts & Jim Duggan

  • heh

that was cool when andre was biting jake

  • i know Wrestling is fake but this day and age u couldnt tell like today wrestling

  • Harley Race is the only member of that team still alive.

  • Eerily true

  • Cool to see Curt Hennig and Harley Race team up, since Larry Hennig and Harley Race were tag team champions.

Sadly, we don't get to see Hennig in action in this edited version on the match.. at all

  • @Fanik8 Good point! Bravo was murdered, Andre died of his gigantism and Perfect and Rude died from the roids.

  • @gmta28 here is your TRUE sole survivor Harley Race

  • @Fanik8 HA HA HA should have been "soul" survivor lol i dont mean to laugh because 2 of my favorites were on that team in perfect and rude...but

  • @ribs35 Perfect and rude are also my favorites of all time!

  • @Fanik8 well and bobby henan lol

  • damn u aint ever lyin.....its hard to believe that those guys we use to watch are no longer with us...bravo was killed drive by style

  • @sdot74 Bravo was whacked. Murdered in his living room, while watching hockey in 1993.

  • @Fanik8 yeah I remember reading that (allegedly) Bravo was involved in Cigarette smuggling in Montreal

  • @Fanik8 It's sad when you think about it.

  • @azariah15 Yes, very. Not only because of the fact that these men are no longer with us but they wrestled in a different era, a much simpler time. The best time in wrestling in my opinion. You really looked forward to a PPV back then because they were separated by 2 or 3 months.

  • @Fanik8 Before, wrestling was actually ok to watch. The PPV were great and properly spaced out. Now bwrestling is just garbage. Too bad it's fake and awful. Before it was good and fake.

  • @azariah15 I don't even watch WWE anymore and never really got into TNA either. I just love watching these clips of wrestling from when I was a kid!

  • @Fanik8 Same here.

  • @Fanik8 I watch the shit outta of all these old matches. this is wrestling at it's besy

  • @Fanik8 I watch the shit outta of all these old matches. this is wrestling at it's best!

  • jake "the snake" roberts rocked!

  • P.S. I haven't seen him not wear his singlet since the early early days, when he WAS known as Curt Hennig.

  • I like how he said Curt Hennig and not just Mr. Perfect. He's the best ever, you do realize right?

  • LOL!

5:25.. you can clearly read Duggan's lips

    "Bull shit!"

    LOL

  • 2:24 andre sat on burito santana, i wonder if andre dumped a load on him hahahaha

  • man, he was stiffing Chico bigtime.

  • 2:24 i loved the way andre squashed that chico sanata, hahahahhaha

  • Yeah, what was Taco Bell thinking anyway when he attempted to sunset flip Andre?

  • This matchup owned, I miss the Ol' Days. RIP Hennig, Rude, Andre, & Dino

  • Waht happened to jerk Scott Casey?

  • Scott Casey was eliminated by Dino Bravo by Pinfall after Side suplex.

  • Hey you can upload complete this Survivor Series match and also the others matches of this event?

    Thanks!!

  • I know this point has already been stated, but Jake Roberts is the winner, because all four members of the heel team he faced are now dead. They're dead because he DDT'd all of them. Jake, you are the master of the ring.

  • Oh, Thanks!!

Look for a long time this fight and to end the meeting! Thanks for upload this video.

I like this match.Hahaha, Hacksaw Jim Duggan always eliminated by countout or DQ for attack oponnents with his 2x4.

  • Hey, you're right!. In 87 & 89 it was countout, 88 & 90 it was dq for the 2x4.

  • 4 guys in the heel team r dead rip andre, rick rude,mr perfect and last but not least dino bravo

  • Crazy that this took place over 20 years ago. I remember watching this when I was about 10 years old. What a cheesy way for Andre to be eliminated...even though he sacrificed....have Dino sacrifice, not Andre.

  • That makes no sense. What would Dino Bravo do to sacrifice himself when he was not even feuding with Jake? It was Andre feuding with Jake. Besides, Henning and Bravo were getting major pushes at the time.

  • Wow, it's sad when you realize that 4 of the 5 members on Andre's team all died young.

  • The old guy's still alive, and I don't suspect he's dying anytime soon. He takes care of himself

  • Well, he did come up during a different era.

  • Andre was fairly active in this match

  • That was unusual, considering his deteriorating health at the time.Andre was lucky to live as long as he did anyway.

  • I believe his knees were shot since WM 3 as well.

  • I'd say even long before that.He had too much weight on for his legs to support.
