Why they chose Rainbow Dash as Firefly's replacement I'll never understand. she wasn't even a pegasus...it would have made more sense if Rainbow Dash was the character that Rarity is, the posh fashion designer, it would have had good continuity with the past generations, like how Pinkie is a party pony and Twilight is magical. Such a shame Hasbro couldn't use Firefly, she would have been great :D

@TheInvadingAsian Having said that other comment, though, I will go on to say, that Faust did add a LOT to the show with G4. For one, the characters have greater contrast, which gives them greater depth, makes them more believable, so far more likable, and allows for much, much more substantial and entertaining plotlines than ever before. And personally I find the pre-G4 animation style somewhat "uncanny" (wiki "uncanny valley").

And 99% of entertainment is fantasy, m'dear ;)

And there's nothing wrong with liking it for nastolgia. Nastolgia is why "minecraft" is one of the most popular games. The graphics and audio may be terrible by modern standards, but it's "good'ol days".

I still love FIM but G3 was a good run and they got to their point, they were pretty successful. Plus the older one had better animators who knew what they were doing.
