lighters mobile phones in the opera house bit sad. very apt though in Sydney when a melbourne artist is played.Very typical Kevin sheedy will help you. you must be so funny people great performance drove it through navigated it very professional.get real really when you are at the opera house your not on you tube or facebook or something. How would you go.Performing in front of...weirdness.thanks noted. You can do better you dont deserve to be able to record this without artists permission simple.
a) The audience were breaking out their lighters and mobiles and holding them up like you used to see in old rock ballads etc. It was actually very funny, but you had to be there to appreciate it. Taken out of context it you would miss the humour involved. And b) Amanda knows the audience meant no disrespect - she had the best view of what was happening in the audience, and she encourages audience particiaption. She laughed herself! Don't think that by laughing we were disrespecting her.
Thanks soooo much for posting this...Amanda looks gorgeous and does an amazing job of covering Nick Cave. Pity about the inane giggling and laughing...spoilt what should have been a very moving 5 minutes...Couldve heard a pin drop when she played this in Adelaide 3 days earlier...

What was everyone laughing at? I can't see anything funny, unless something was happening offstage

Yeah I must admit, I was a bit disappointed with that myself, but I could see why people were laughing
