because of the music--which is typically bad or annoying, I am forced to watch these videos, pretty much all on here, with no sound. It's better than the crap they play.
Well its a bit of a grey area as such. I guess theyre not that mysterious to me cos i live in Malta. But they were built in the stone age naturally...the how is the big question i guess
I went to the Noah's site last year. I did a field studies video with my metal detector, and found a pattern of iron there. You can see the video (and other videos) if you click on my name.
One thing I find very strange, is why highly top-secret facilitys like Pine-gap, Area 51 and others, are veiwable in better resolution than most areas on google earth. If the-powers-that-be have so much control over the information that regular people have access to, why are these places not obscured or in poor resolution? I hear a lot of conspiracy theorys about these places, and as far as I know they don't appear on regular maps (for reasons of national security)
nothing too secretive is going on at Area 51 (they'd be stupid if anything was, considering its popularity) and a few hi-res photos certainly won't be taken at any time they're testing something secret...
I find this type of thing fascinating but on the Chinese writing while mysterious indeed, the figures directly after 'The Palm Print' include an exlamation mark which was not introduced until the invention of the printing press and even then was taken from Latin and not Chinese suggesting this particular sculpture may not be what it seems
mungo, good call on the !. It is common for many to assume that land markings in general are ancient. In fact it appears that most are reletively recent. Of all the white horses in Britain (some 14 or so I think) only one, the Uffington Horse, has been proven to be ancient. Most land markings visible today are dated within the last few hundred years and many are very recent. The Maree Man in Austrailia was made about 1998. And many more were made around 2000 to celebrate the millenia.
I don't think this was a waste of time. That's some cool stuff we never new existed. I'm sure it was fun for jeroid putting this together.
For those complaining about no coordinates, it took me about 20 to 30 min. to find all the Chinese markings using only this video. Its not that hard if pay attention to details for reference as you "fly in". And it is rewarding and fun when you find them. Having trouble finding the "pencil and pad" though. Is it still there?
jeroid, you are not a geographic service, but others authors add on video descriptions the google earth coordinates to visit the sites, this is easier and much interesting, hope you dont bother on add the coordinates on next videos.
I'm pleased to not do what other authors are doing. It's more rewarding to find out for yourself, and the places remain a little more obscure that way.
Okay, I've tried to find the song in the vid, you said it was my sacred spirit, and I've looked, but I can't find that particular song. PLEASE PLEASE, what song is it. I love it!!!! Awesome vid, by the way...I can't wait to see more of them! :)
Hey...just wondering, does anybody know the name of an area where there is a lot of white sand and from a birds eye view it looks like a horse. To give more detail i think it is in england somewhere and it is said to be from a knight that killed a dragon and the dragon's blood singed the grass and the sand underneath the grass was white...If anyone knows the name of that area please reply to my comment and tell me so i can look it up on Google Earth.
The white horse at Uffington is what you mean. It is above Dragon's Hill where the dragon blood was traditonally spilt. The original Uffington horse in England is not visible on GE in hi-res, but you can see an exact replica from the US on Part 3 of The World's Mysterious Places.
I've done a few of those in other WMP videos - take a look. A few of your names I don't know... what are Kuelap, Bosque de Pomac, Chan Chan, Sipan, Sican? Which countries are they in?
Damn it, somebody is using my user name for posting comments here in YouTube. I've never wrote that comment above. I'm changing my password right now.
By the way, I'm from Peru. Kuelap, Bosque de Pomac, Chan Chan, Sipán, Sicán. All of those places are from the north of Peru. From coastal cities like Chiclayo and Trujillo.
Hey Jerry (jeroid), I'll appreciate if you could delete all comments made to your videos with my user name "miguelchambergo" (including this one) because somebody but me has made them. I guess someone has discovered my password and begun to use my account, but I've already change my password.

Lots of fun to watch. Might have been nice to have narrated a sentence or two background description of what each site was. Of course, if someone's interested they can google it. Ever think of using Disneys song 'It's A Small World After All'? Well don't.

Another very nice compilation, although I liked the first one better. I would have liked to have known what some of them were called, although I realise it's not always possible to show the names. Google Earth is such a wonderful tool.
Great video! If you can, look for the Nazca Lines in Peru, they are the most outstanding group of geoglyphs in the world. Etched in the surface of the desert pampa sand about 300 hundred figures made of straight lines, geometric shapes and pictures of animals and birds - and their patterns are only clearly visible from the air.
