I just came across your videos today...my Mom and Sister both have basset hounds. My sister and I have been laughing at all of your moments captured with your hounds. Thanks so much for sharing these. Clearly you love your dogs very much. These videos brought a bright spot to a dreary day...and people that understand basset hounds know what makes these dogs so special.

I got a photo of him last weekend, he was in his dog bed which was up on top of the coffee table (!) because my husband was cleaning the floors. I wish I'd thought to do a little video - might try to set up the situation again . . . thanks for your comment.

Age old question? Are you kidding, our basset sheds lots all year round! As for exercise, she and our other dog, a beagle mix, run and wrestle (WWF style) in the yard all the time. I love the constantly wagging tail on the basset!

My Basset has always had a rash in his groin. We've taken him to the vet, and he gave him an antihistaminic shot and a cream to apply everyday to the affected area. The rash goes and comes back again. I'm certain that these rashes are caused by the many crosses breeders do with these beautiful dogs.

I have a basset hound and a furminator, they are wonderful tools - just used it on my basset and he is looking and feeling much better. Great vid, thanks for posting! x

Haha my little Layla hound sheds A LOT!!! when spring hits. I bought a furminator and it was the best money I ever spent on dog grooming. She looks about like that when I groom her too LOL

Frank, we love you! This is just so typical of a basset hound.... don't dream of helping by standing up to be that few inches taller, just wallow and enjoy the attention! He is such a beautiful hound!!

I've been walking my Basset a lot, we climb a small hill near home and it's a good exercise for both of us!
