I watched this at the time. I thought Miss Philippines deserved the crown but really just like in any contests, you can never tell cause it depends on the judges' taste. All of them were beautiful and smart but Miss Philippines gave a very intelligent answer and she carried herself really well all the way through.

I'm not being bias cause ruffa is from Philippines and I don't have anything against Miss Jamaica and South Africa! They all did a beautiful job, but it is visible that Ruffa stand out the most in all aspects however sh did not won and it is already years past! It's just sad because she did not won despite of everything but guest the judges did not do their job fairly and I guest they did choose Jamaica and South Africa for a reason!

Just like Sandra Seifert Miss Philiippiines Earth 1st runner up, Miss Philippines Ruffa Gutierrez should have been the real Miss World 1993 not 2nd runner up only and Sandra Seifert Miss Earth 2009.... they both? have excellent answers on the final question and answer portion...... both of them are really intelligent like Miriam Defensor Santiago.

@blueshieldblue In the case of Sandra Seifert , Miss Earth Association or somethin' do not want to win a country in consistent years just like in Miss Universe, Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela won last 2008 then last 2009 Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela ALSO~ won .. ! and because miss earth 2008 winner is from philippines and sandra is from philippines they make sandra in 1st place .. do you get it ?
