Interesting, both versions are pretty awesome. Honestly, I think it's pretty hard to tell which one is better. As different as the atmosphere seems to be, they are as similar too. Like two different planets crushing into each other.

The original sounds serious, depressing and dramatic, this version is just dramatic, climatic and epic. Just the same stuff on a hole different level.
