@Hockey933 if you listened to any of his old stuff you would know that it most certainly isnt dubstep. IDM, Downtempo, and Breakbeat styled, but certainly not Dubstep.

When he came out with Underground Communication was when he started producing what's best catagorized as "Omnitempo Maximalism".

Its foolish to try to box Lorin in though, as he's an artist of many genre's and a master of all.

@torydigsit Actually what he's doing in this vid is creating scenes from many different samples which he manually maniupates. Just with this little snippit here he's taken a beat sample, added some ethereal synth sounds, added a chopped and screwed acapella, and from there transitioned into the Modeselektor song which he's added reinforcement beats ontop of. Its a crap ton of work which he does perfectly. Learn something before you decide to write, itll help you look like less of a dingus.

Lorin's post-burn, Sunday morning, 3-4 hour sunrise sets on the playa are very special indeed and quite a different flavor from his usual whomp fests. He has a special collection of music that he sets aside for sets, that he weaves it into a uniquely eclectic musical vision: beautiful, unpredictable, wildly creative, sexy, inspiring, funky, puzzling, at once strange and familiar. It's like, dude, you are turning the treble knob 2% there is no need for the exaggerated arm motions. The songs are on cd's and, aside from mixing/beatmatching every 3-4 min you are doing nothing.
