  • @WTFBBQ5 Awww! That confirms it then. Hugs!

  • @KJTlovesYOU Thanks for that. I knew we had helped in the past but here recently, if you read all these news articles, they make it sound as though we are neutral but leaning on the side of Argentina. Then there are comments from people of how we stabbed Britain in the back. I read this and it's disturbing. If we are helping you under the table now, I haven't heard of it. Maybe it's a secret. Shh! ;)

  • If this old Englishman has to bite his lip with a tear rolling down his face watching this, then there MUST be a special relationship.

    God bless.

  • Anyone else come here from did-you-kno?

  • .......much like we couldn't 'help' in vietnam - it was below the area of influence of NATO, so it didn't come under the convention..........we found a way (google it) you'll find a lot of our special forces 'resigned' from the SAS, then joined the Aussie army who could fight.....we'll always find a way to help each other out when needed..........lend-lease, 'borrowing' bases, troops joining other armies....lol.......yerp, we've done it all to protect the other...lmao

  • lol..........i love this 'tube' and the comments (aside from the obvious trollers, "usa suck, brits stink, 9/11 = inside job"), just a comment on falklands though (i've commented before on this).....actually usa did help us 'last time'.... they provided bases and ammunition....they couldn't openly help us without pissing off the whole of south america.....so they did the "we'll borrow you this if u could use it".....reminds me of lend-lease in WW2......no doubt theyll have our back this time : )

  • I never saw or heard of this so this is my first time watching... Thanks England! I always felt that we were kin, brothers.... and this just reinforces it, for me anyhow! So.... Thanks again, brothers. We love ya! :-D

  • It's amazing that that the country that fought against and declared independence from Britain is now it's greatest ally. I'm honored to have Britain as our ally and friend (even if Jeremy Clarkson doesn't like our cars :P) God Save the Queen and God Bless America!

  • @grooverheliboy I know. It's just the principal of the thing. We should at least completely recognize without question that the Falklands are British, end of story. And give you anything you might need, especially since we had your full support after 9/11, Iraq and Afghanistan. I could go on.

  • To all of you Brits, this American loves you unconditionally! And I'm so sorry for Obama's insults and refusal to support you in the Falklands. We really should be in your corner on that. I hope you can forgive us someday. I didn't vote for him and I hope he's on his way out. I hope this administration hasn't damaged our alliance for good. To me, that would be devastating.

  • @blondie75ful Please do not apologise for something that you personally have no control over as for the Falklands it is all a show of bravado of the part of the Argentinians so we can handle a bit of tv warrior talk that would not ever go anywhere as we have shown in the last invasion of the FALKLANDS ..As we here in the UK SAY to the Argies..IF YOUR BRAVE ENOUGH COME AND HAVE A GO !!

  • Yay, God bless America.God save America from Obama.

  • F8ck USA.

    love the people

    fuck your system.

    terrorists.

  • @copperkipper1 holy shit, take your negative asshole dipshit self and delete your account. American people don't like you. neither do the lovely British people. God Bless America and God Bless the Queen

  • @gchtteotd000 God isn't real, the Queen is a disgrace. The american system is screwed.

  • @copperkipper1 Why would you do that? You're messed up. >.<

  • @copperkipper1 eeeeh shut your gob!

  • @copperkipper1 And YOU need to get your medication upped as clearly it is NOT working and answer me this..How do you type on a computer keyboard with a bloody straight jacket on ??

  • Much respect to our closest allies.

  • Who gives a shit, 9/11 was a inside job.

  • @aguilartwelve well you see, all the sane people "gives a shit" ... and as you can see you are a random conspiracy nut, even if it was an inside job ... which it was not, many people still died, so show your damn respect. Also thank you for giving this video another view.

  • @aguilartwelve please wait till you reach puberty at least, before making comment's about things you are way too young to understand.

  • Very Moving, there is a special relationship, its not about who is in the White House or in Downing Street its about the ordinary people.Long may this friendship last.

  • God bless the UK/USA. Best brotherhood in the world.

  • the U.S.A. need to rejoin the empire

  • i cried

  • More then 500 000 children women suffered by the hands of these criminals

  • american suck cock

  • @Angles786 And GOD RUINED A GOOD PUSSY WHEN HE PLACED TEETH INTO YOUR BIG GOB !!

  • @grooverheliboy what do you even believe in god?

  • @Angles786 go play on the freeway you troller !!

  • I'm an American. I saw this right after 9/11...I also saw the palestinians dancing in the streets...when I saw the brits playing the star spangled banner and saw the onlookers with tears in their eyes...i wept...God Bless Great Britain....God Save the Queen!!

  • @bospqr I live in Scotland and the school day was finishing when 9/11 happened. Someone came in and told our teacher what had happened and she burst into tears. The whole class was stunned. Even at 15/16 we knew the implications of 9/11. I've never before or since felt so sick watching something unfold on TV. Horrible thing to happen to any nation. You weren't alone in your grief.

  • @Azlak0507 Thank you for the kind words Azlak...especially coming from a Scot..salt of the Earth...

  • To the USA and Britain, may we be allies and family.

  • To think the USAs first war ever was with England, how ironic they've become the tour de force they are when allied with eachother.

  • Why did they play a shortened version? The first eight bars should be repeated.

  • Important to remember that the US National Anthem was played at Buckingham Palace that day at the personal wish of HM The Queen - She was NOT acting 'under he advice of Her Ministers' on this occasion.

Significant, too, that when Americans in London wanted to unite in their grief, they knew exactly where to gather - where else but at Buckingham Palace?

As a Briton, I hope that every American saw this, and knew they were not alone.

  • @xetalq yes we did...it made me cry then as it does today....Her Majesty was gracious as were her people then and now....

  • As a New Yorker and U.S Army Soldier, God Bless the U.K. Greatest ally in the world. We ride together, we die together.

  • @ketelnutz Your people are my people. Your God is our God. Wherever you go, we will follow.

  • Comment removed

  • to all you disrespectful assholes, We the people of the US and UK have long relationship together. we have fought and killed each other only to become the greatest of allies in recent years. now we fight and die together! if you have a problem with that or think that your country is better than the other, well im an American and i say FUCK YOU! both American and Brits are awesome, dont fuck with us!

  • FOREVER BROTHERS!

    GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

  • Why was there no UK anthem played after 7/7?

  • @Lewis94UKHD

    They did....

  • @WTFBBQ5 Now don't I look stupid.

  • @Lewis94UKHD There was - the US Army band played God Save the Queen outside the British Embassy in Washington DC. Both that and this were remarkable and wonderful gestures

  • God Bless the UK! As an American, I am PROUD to say the UK and its people are my friends.

  • Otto von Bismarck: "The most significant event of the 20th century will be that the fact that the North Americans speak English."

Works both ways, actually. Plus, there's a reason we read Shakespeare in school besides his brilliance.

  • thank you. God bless you and America and our troops and everyone else who believes in upholding good

  • @CarolinaLilly1024 ..no need to thank us, we are merely repaying a debt, when the whole of europe was under the jackboot of nazism, our brothers in the US saw fit to say this was wrong and send their sons to fix this....it is us who still owe a debt of honour

  • This made me tear up.

God bless UK and the US.

  • Thank ya'll so much for everything u do for us! Without you we would be all alone! God Bless America and God Save the Queen! :)

  • ....indeed, God bless America, and God save the Queen...........we are (as Shakespere himself would put it), a 'Band of Brothers'.............all these idiots have no idea.........

  • Nothing but Respect.

  • This filled my stomach with emotion! I was fortunate enough not to have lost anyone that day, but I've always felt strongly about 9/11, and those who were lost, and to see another country, a country I hope to see one day with my own eyes, play my home land's anthem...that is just so much respect right there. The Queen truly cared for what happened to her fellow ally.

All I can say now is, God bless America, and, God save the Queen.

    Such a remarkable video <3

  • Ive just had a shower because my underpants smelled a bit fishy!!

  • @snitch5000 I think that is what is known as too much information; and not at all relevant to the video.Still, if it makes you happy to show billions of people you are an idiot, don't let me stop you.

  • @HarrietVane :) Send me your addy and i will mail you a pair lmao

  • god save the queen

  • Comment removed

  • Britain and USA....brothers in arms, morals, ethics and FREEDOM. much love from England

  • Very cool. Thank you, from your cousins across the pond.

  • This video brings tears to my eyes everytime. I always have and always will have the utmost respect for the UK. This just shows you that there are truely amazing people out there and the UK is full of them. Thank you!!

  • We fall out from time to time like all familys but we no at times like this we are there for eachother we really did share in the greif that terrible time. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!! from England

  • God Bless You Your Majesty. -From an American citizen.

  • thank you uk from an American citizen

  • This is a British song with altered lyrics. Lyrics which represent the Americans fighting the Royal Navy. Now being performed back in Britain at the request of the British head of state.

All kinds of ironies in there!

  • AWWWWWWW :')

  • i cried...

  • Never in a thousand years will the noble alliance of far more than arms and politics between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the United States of America, be forgotten. Such gestures will stand the test of time, as selfless and dignified - in the face of unimaginable terrorist crimes. Never will this be forgotten by me. Americans who hate on British people and viceversa, need to grow up, learn respect and get better educated about what they need to realise is cold fact; UKofGB~USA allies

  • OMG! They put their hands over their hearts for MY anthem! I love you Brits.....

  • @FeminaSeneca to be fair, they were most likely Americans who did that. There are loads of Americans in London

  • What an emotional video. I was in 10th grade english class, and from that point on I knew I was going to join the military (82nd Airborne Div.) Thank you Brits for playing this. All differences aside when it comes down to it we love your country.

  • As an American citizen I can proudly say that I love Britain.

  • @BFJoshua As a citizen of Britain I can proudly say I love the United States of America.

  • Queen Elizabeth II, is such a sweet lady. She did this out of the good will of her heart. To pay tribute to the 3000 people. Who died a violent, hateful death that day. All i can remember. Is my mother screaming in terror. When the second plane hit. I was 11 at the tome. So i didn't really know what was going on. Just goes to show.We my speculate. And stereotype. against one another. BUT, one thing you don't want to ever do. Is intentionally try to harm, one of Britainnica's children.

  • I personally will not allow ignorant fools to ruin what this is. As an American with deep British roots, I hope the special relationship will live forever and may it never be put asunder. We should all be friends. What is the point of hating each other? I love my country. I also love Great Britain. I always will be grateful for this gesture.

  • Wow your stupid m8

  • @mistergutsy19 were u talkin to me

  • God Bless The Queen. Im not British but she was kind to have done this for the USA. BTW, My mom's family has roots in english royalty dating back to the 1500's, i think it was Queen Elizabeth (the first one) that we were related to.

  • I play on a high school band and I played the national anthem on our football field 2 days before the 10 year anniversary of September 11, a very special moment for me

  • God Bless Her Majesty The Queen for this

  • I don't think that the Star Spangled Banner could've been played as spectacularly by any band, much less the military band of a foreign country. Well done gents, and God bless the UK/USA. May our brotherhood last another thousand years.

  • @dandoosh90 Yeah, but they should have had Roseanne Barr singing it with Carl Lewis.

  • I didn't know they did this, but it just brought tears to my eyes. Especially the lady waving the American flag. People can say what they want about Britain, but without them, I wouldn't be here. Personally I love great Britain. God save the queen.

  • Actually, the tune is a British one, only the words, which were ironically inspired by a war with Britain, are American.

  • Heard it all before, it's really getting boring now.

"LOL @ da brit poodelz lulz XD"

"Dark Knight is freakin awesomez dudez LULZ XD"

"Obama ruuuulez so bodaciously LOL LULZ fuck Aussies LULZ LOLZY WOLZY XD"

You are a worthless human being and you always will be.....LULZ XD

  • @bennyboyjones iv not seen one of those comments.....

  • @teamamerica1996 That was directed specifically at "themenacecanish" who spends his day trolling videos about the UK. Check his profile out if you want a laugh.

  • @themenaceanish So a nation reaches out to you - you personally, and to every other American out there - to show support, compassion, and understanding, and that's how you react? Who cares about the past between these nations when the people have shown themselves to be so willing to help each other through dark times? Speaking as an American, this is one of the most heartfelt condolences I've ever received.

  • @themenaceanish. Fortunately most Americans don't see us that way nor are they so ungracious and foul mouthed. If it makes you happy then carry on with sad and lonely existence and seeming hatred of all things British. The rest of us have self respect and respect for others. Oh and it's football not soccer you thick sod, we invented it

  • @terryneale Lmfao. It's so cute when British people get angry.

  • United we stand, divided we fall.

  • That made me cry. Even after 10 years.

  • You can just feel the love between UK and US right now lol.

  • lol poodle country, the uk is the mother country lmao

  • It's the first time a foreign anthem has ever been played at the Palace.

  • I know we've screwed up quite a bit since 9/11, but this was a beautiful gesture by the British. It was such a scary time, especially living in the NY area, and to have another country so strongly back you with such a prominent gesture -- it meant more than words can ever say. May God keep the United Kingdom safe forever.

  • I get teary seeing this. Not withstanding any actions taken by the US and UK since 9-11, this is a gesture of solidarity to the those who suffered in this massive crime against humanity.

  • @themenaceanish Never you say? Well we DID after the 7/7 bombings in London. You're an idiot and you don't speak for me and a majority of other Americans. I'm sick to death of this 'poodle' crap. The Brits are NOT our poodle. Britain is our parent country and dear friends.

  • @themenaceanish So speaks the minority of silly idiotic nutters orginisation

  • @themenaceanish It's people like you who drive other countries away from being allies with the US. We brits have stood beside the US whenever it got tough. You want an example? What about Afghanistan right now? Is Russia helping you? No! So shut up and honour the men, women and children who died in this national tragedy.

  • @themenaceanish You're a fucking retard. We played God Save the Queen after the 7/7 attacks. The UK is our mother country you fucktard, and you better give a shit.

  • @shawnchi mother country? HA! You probably have no friends am I right?

  • @themenaceanish You are fucking scum. You are absolutely revolting. Fuck you. Fuck you in the neck.

  • Comment removed

  • this is another reason why i as an american love the brits, you guys are awesome

  • @republicanshield I'm British and I love America, I went for the 1st time last summer. I learnt your national anthem not long ago (well just the 1st verse, not all 4)

  • @grooverheliboy We will always be here for you also. :)

  • As an American I will say this is one of the best renditions of our national anthem I have ever heard. Not because of the band, but because of the love that is behind the music. This small gesture shows the bond between our countries, a bond that will last for years to come. God bless America and God bless the United Kingdom.

  • @jay19912009 100% agreed. I fell in love with the British the day I saw this.

  • to any americans who have experienced a bad time with some idiot brit on the net, please understand its a friendly rivalry we share

  • Should tell America where we stand as a Country, shoulder to shoulder for what is right in this world,

  • @grooverheliboy Thanks for that. There was a time when I thought those feelings were going out with the old and dying WWII generation. But it's nice to know that isn't true. God bless the UK!

  • One more thing. For those of you on facebook, there is a page to promote UK/US relations 'Special Relationship of the United Kingdom and the United States'. Please go to it, click like and share if you want.

  • Words cannot describe how this touched me. I just want to cry every time I see this. I LOVE you Brits! You are AWESOME! And thank you. I hope our 'special relationship' lasts 'til the end of time. Some say it's only a myth but it's always been real to me. I've always had love and respect for the UK. My ancestors were British in the colonial days and I've always thought of the UK as a parent to the US. Sorry we fought, but that was a long time ago and we love you now.

  • @blondie75ful Rest assured that your thoughts and feelings are reciprocated this side of the water We will always be here for you in your hour of need should it ever arise again.I and a vast majority of Brits are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Americans.

    God bless the UK/USA

  • @grooverheliboy Thank you. You have no idea how much we need to hear that some times.

  • @grooverheliboy Thank you.

  • @grooverheliboy And us at your side.... :)

  • @grooverheliboy god bless you, from a yank to brit, god bless you

  • I watch this every so often because I love the support and respect they show!Of any other countries I love Britain/UK the most! They have long backed us and deserve our backing in return.Loyalty is one word to describe these people!

  • @hagriddragonhut best I recall from those days, her majesty directed the guard to do this. I believe it is the only time the guards have played another country's national anthem. As an american I deeply appreciate the respect.

  • @histre101 100% correct Her Majesty did indeed order the guards to do this and it is the 1st time in history that another countrys anthem has been played at Buckingham Palace without the Head of State of that country being present.

The Highest Honour that the UK can pay to any Country.

  • thats pure respect

  • special moment ruined by an advert in the middle of the video :(. nobody in their right mind clicks on them anyway!

  • IM PROUD TO BE BRITISH AND I GRIEV FOR THOSE WHO DIED IN 911 WE NEED TO BURN THE MUSLIMS!

  • @mistergutsy19 You give a bad name to those that died and to all those people who live in New York City. Muslims were some of the first people to act as first responders.

  • @mistergutsy19 no we don't. Enough blood has been spilled. We need a non-biased investigation and all the people really responsible to be punished within the law.

  • I love so much these countries that I can say that they are like the two sides of my heart! God bless America and Britain!

  • GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND GOD BLESS THE UNITED KINGDOM! - From: An American citizen who still believes in the alliance between America and her sister nation.

  • @Listoftubemusic *Spoiler alert* It wasn't "instead"... it was "in addition to".

  • @ProtectTheDamned Where do you think the Canadians learned to use the SA80? The Canadians are secretly British (apart from the grumpy French wannabes) ... so 250 years after you thought you got rid of us we're right on your doorstep :P

  • Thank u Britain and thank u to all allies of the USA

  • I don't get it, the world sitll hates the USA and stuff and never will be. Of course, America would rather be stay isloanilist because if you look other videos involving the USA, the UK hates us.

I agree, Europe isn't worth defending anyways. We protected them and all the sudden they wanted to alienate us from being our allies. Well where is the appreciation for fighting your wars in Kosovo and Bosnia? Nothing. Dirty ungratful pricks.

  • @Hperman09 Go see your doctor about that "HUGE CHIP" you have on your shoulder and maybe learn a bit of history before you start commenting on things you know nothing about !

  • @Hperman09 They must be the same wars i fought in, along side US troops the brits and the yanks fought bside by side hand to hand with OUR enemies!

  • @Hperman09 They aren't OUR wars. It was a NATO intervention in Kosovo not just the USA. It wasn't just to stop a war, it was to stop ethnic genocide, it's something you need to be proud that your country was apart of stopping and stop being a prick while you're at it. We had 3 Kosovan refugee's living on our street, just kids staying with a British family, how many Kosovan children did you take care of in the U.S? After blowing up their homes? Thought so

    Anyway, amazing video, Peace!

  • @Hperman09 theres always one child who really knows nothing , kosovo and bosnia jees man you know nothing . gets some books out n do some study .

  • @softball78 lol, you still speak ENGLISH, there is RED WHITE and BLUE on the flag, your capital city is named after a small town near Newcastle, you sing "My Country is of thee" to the turn of "God save the Queen" and the "Star spangled Banner" tune is from an english drinking song called "Acheron in Heaven" work it out dude

  • god bless the u.s. AND GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

  • I'm glad the USA has good friends like the UK! God bless America and God save the Queen!

  • USA USA USA, Scotland will always support America

  • Her Majesty the Queen directed the guard to do this at that time.

  • this video just shows how strong bonds exist between our two great countries, it is always an enormous joy to watch how two allied nations can support each other irrespective of the circumstances... may our unique and invincible relationship endure forever, from a proud Englishman

  • gotta love the Brits (from an American)

  • Thank u England, wales, northern ireland and scotland ( all of the u.k) for supporting the usa during this. I am 5 miles from ground zero and was there that day... I personally was in London in 2005 when the bombing happened. Its nice to see people from the other side of the world appreciate humanity....The U.K is in my heart forever.... My friends

  • Believe me this relationship is the envy of many countries around the world

  • @andywrest It sure is buddy but I love it also the envy too..

  • There is only one nation on this Earth that I would fight with as hard for my own country. That would be England.

  • an anthem to remebr all those houses youve bombed, all those widows, orphans and families destroyed,

rip victims of war and not signed up 'heroes.

  • Things like this make me proud to be British, and equally proud to be friends with America. Lets always be friends..? (:

  • @JustDreamOnAStar Sure thing, pal! Come on over to Boston! Always happy to have our siblings across the pond over for dinner. :D

  • @Kleptmann I'd love to! I'm only 14, but as soon as I'm old enough I'd love to move to America whatever way possible! See you in Boston! ;) :D

  • @JustDreamOnAStar I'd suggest you don't The TSA in the USA have started molesting children at airports
