  • nice video. thanks.

  • Girard is pulling together many strands for me. I have for years been interested in the work of Rosenstock-Huessy who talks a great deal about blameshifting and scapegoats in traditional societies. Girard is pushing my understanding much further with his ideas about mimesis. This is some of the most important stuff I've ever encountered for understanding where we are now as a global society and where we are headed. It turns out St. Paul and Revelation are the needed key for divining our way.

  • I have first 2 of cbc ideas tapes of THE SCAPEGOAT I've listened to them 100 times and I need to.I hear something new each time.I'm gonna get the cbc ideas 5prt!Rene's examples illustrate it clearly, the way he puts things. After I first heard this theory, I was flooded with examples everywhere? In me,my friends, ads, everything!!As artist I want to spread this theory thru art.I want Rene's permission to use some of his phrases in art. There are folks needing this, but don't know it!!!THANK YOU;]

  • how did u get a hold of these ideas tapes?

  • @ble86n Great idea. I am also using his theories in a novel I am writing. He is quite genius. A fascinating aspect is the implication that a meaningless moment acquires meaning when it is seen in relation to others.
