  • Xps 17 has capability to beat M18x..:D

  • I bought my dell XPS with a 6 cell battery, can i change it for a 9 cell battery now? It just lasts like 2 hours...

  • need a quick advice. Have you guys seen the xps 17? does it look and feel a lot bulkier than the xps 15? will need this laptop for the weekend at the library and occassional trips. Just the 17 inch screen is so tempting.

  • @yawattah i bought the dell xps 17 1st edition before the 2nd gen i7..and it is the best laptop you could ask withthe price i got

    specs:nvidia 445m D3D graphic card with optimus 3

8 gb of ram, 3gb vram.

    1600x900 hd resolution.

    9 cell battery

    i7 quad core processor

jbl speakers with subwoofer. it is not much bigger than the 15..just has to fit 17 in. screen. yes it does have weight to it but it is very durable and sturdy. you can use it for school work, graphic design,3d rendering, gaming.

  • to hell with 3D, im not gonna sit wearing tarded glasses playing games. 3d is a fad it will fade out eventually

  • @ChaosRiddenReaper dell actually turned me off from buying an xps 17 from them for that whole pushy 3d thing, because i wanted a max 16g ram cap., which they only make possible on the 3d version (they disable that capabilty in the others)--& i really dont want to pay extra for that shit (which also fixes a more expensive graphics card to the package), which ill never use.

i hate their blatant, non-negotiable upselling scheme...

well, now they lost a potential customer...to the lenovo w520 :)

  • @DJAleking Piss off german bitch!

  • Nice video, you seem really happy with your new laptop, I'm thinking about getting one of these now that you can get them for practically $700 off the initial price.

  • Cool vid man. nice laptop :p

  • @badrinathknair your 9 cell battery can hold more than 5 hours

  • @Izmettosprunguli no it does not. at max 2.5 hours while using it. if u leave it idle then more than 3 less than 4 hours

  • @badrinathknair thats not true my XPS 17 with the 9 cell battery can run almost 6 hours, if im just surfing the web, backlit keyboard off, and contrast settings low

  • @badrinathknair idiot my is on 8 hours

  • LOL 2:28 is the best part

  • fucking HABIB. battery = BHETTARI LULZ "17.3 inch Bigguhreee"

  • @965165150 nope 1.5 hours is 1 hour 30 mins 1.75 is one hour 45 mins

  • They are pushing 3D now and Nvidia Optimus isn't available on the Dell XPS 17 anymore, Any idea on how much battery life I would get with a 9 cell battery and no Nvidia Optimus?

  • @FFXIvoorhees I have a 9 cell and it lasts for 2 hours easily.

  • @FFXIvoorhees not to mention the heating produced by a gt555m GPU when running all the time..i have just bought a xps 17 1702x but without the 3D option going for optimus instead, being in australia i had the option of a 1080p non 3D Anti Glare monitor that supports optimus and WiDi .. which i snapped up..there are many people disappointed that they dont have the same option in their country yet

  • @965165150

it means 1 hour 45 minutes.

  • That's beautiful. I have always been a fan of the Dell XPS line, and just ordered a new Dell XPS 17 /w the Sandy Bridge i7 and the 555m graphics card. I can't wait until it arrives at my door. I will be giddy, for lack of a better word.

  • how come not the 740QM if you bought it this year?

  • @PC232 you are right , mine is a 740QM @1.73Ghz.

  • @badrinathknair Hi, are you still happy with the purchase ? I am considering the NEW XPS 17 with 2.2Ghz and 3gig vid card.

  • @trulynot i am totally happy with it, its battery and performance is absolutely great. if you are okayw ith the weight, then its great. its definitely not a machine that you can keep on yoour lap and work. it has to be on a desk.

  • I´ve the same XPS its really great

  • ARE U FROM KEARLA cause i am

  • hey..nice laptop dude,,congrats..i planning to buy 1 too..not sure which processor i should go for,,i5 or i7,i want a good battery life.. i wanted to ask bout the battery life on full charge.?? how many hours ?

  • @twiztidme01 if you are into HD video editing and extreme gaming then i7 is best, but for normal HD viewing and photo editing then i5 will do fine. 9 cell battery is great on my machine, without watching video it lasts for 2.5 hours. with video streaming for 1.75 hours.

  • Hi, thanks for the vid, can you please let me know what screen you got and what you thought of it, there are a lot of negative comments on the boards about the 900p screen 1600X900

  • @bigears626 Its a gorgeous, bright 16:9 WLED screen. its as bright as you want it. I have watched a few 1080 p movies and its very very crisp. The deep sound by the JBL speakers make movie watching even more enjoyable. I love the screen.

  • How long did it take to deliver? I'm getting one and I can't wait to know when is it gonna come!!! >:D

  • @EvilGamer100 it took 10 days for me

    So what?????

  • Great Vid Man. Is there any way you can make a video review on the PC? Now that you've had it for a bit? I'd also be curious to see the Backlit Keyboard too.
