  • 0:22 mr madruga, chavez

  • wow, wow, wow

  • Simply AWESOME. It reaches the soul. Another super example of free-spirit creativity. Dig it.

  • @eduardothewho Metamorphosis

  • sobervio man, buena rola en que disco viene esa rola?

  • @ManardGCrebs: "The Who tried to replace John Bonham? Surely you mean Keith Moon?

  • THE DRUMMER! 0:23! xD

  • @ManardGCrebs Er, John Bonham played for Led Zeppelin.

  • QUE EXCELENTE!

  • love this, one of thier best

  • Wow! Man that drummer was really feeling it wasn't he! lol. He was tripping hard! O_O The keyboard player right around the 48 sec. mark..... he looked just like John "BONZO" Bonham didn't he! Striking resembelance! Amazing Vid.! THANKS.

  • A hidden gem.... Iron Butterfly's 1970 release Metamorphosis capped with this song Butterfly Bleu, is one of those albums that didn't gain as much notice as it deserved... but remains one of those hidden gems that if you're lucky enough to discover you realize that you've found something special. A good honest rockin' record from beginning to end...

  • el baterista no esCahrlie Manson?

  • sin palabras... hermosa cancion xD

  • GENIAL GENIAL GENIAL!!!!!

  • STELLAR PERFORMANCE! Where are these kind of concerts today?! The drummer kicks soooo much ass. Everybody in Iron Butterfly shreds, in music AND in fashion.

  • This is the best song by this group. Fuck In A Gadda. There was a change in the group.

  • @thegerrie19561

Well, my favorite for a long time now is Iron Butterfly Theme from Heavy.

  • the best vesion of the group in my opinion..ashame they copuldnt make it work out commercially..

  • @posthumanhero Actually, on this they sound pretty generic and nondescript for the early 70's. The 60's band was way more original and powerful.

  • @49kasey i disagree..............in the 60s they took their cue from the doors and had 'in a gadda da vida as a platform for experimentation......here they take their cue from the jazz/rock leanings of blues image, but with the added dynamic quality of the dual guitars..........'butterfly bleu', was yet another vehicle for experimentation, maybe more earthy than the early stuff ...........the lp this lineup made blows away 'vida' in purely technical terms (production comes to m,ind first)

  • @49kasey not as swell as that rag time music

  • ESTA CANCION ES...NO NO TENGO PALABRAS, UN PINCHE VIAJE MUY CABRON, ALGUIEN QUE TENGA LA LETRA? YO SAQUE UNA PARTE PERO NO SE SI ESTE CORRECTA, PORFAVOR!

  • temazo... la cara del batero la rompe

  • Thanks for sharing. This brings back so many memories. And what's more, it's a KICK-ASS stageperformance !

  • This sounds like Rock and/or Roll

  • never mind....s El Rhino Larry Rhinehart....

  • @12347771 I think Rhino and Pinera came from Blues Image ("Ride Captain Ride") or some other group of that era called "Blues', like Blues Magoo's.

  • who is the second guitarist? Erik had split the band by then (?).....

  • Fantastic!! Another of my favorite Iron Butterfly songs... Thank you for posting this one! Tremendisima cancion!

  • boom

  • Freaking Awesome Dude ! Thanx for the Up and Keep Rockin !

  • de culto!!!!

  • IRON BUTTERFLY was Highly Underrated. They were the BEGINNING of PSYCHEDELIC Rock, hands down. They're Heavy (IRON) songs and the Light (BUTTERFLY) tunes were the predecessor to the one and only Led Zeppelin woh also mixed Light and Heavy to perfection

  • Good music is still good.Very good quality.Thank You.

  • Love this band!! Thank you so much for adding this great vid.!

  • Out of the Garden and into the Bleu

  • GODDAMN AWESOME!.

    THATS WHAT THAT IS.

    GOATMAST3R

  • sacate 1 jajajjaja........

  • Yeah Bushy Baby!!!!..heheh ...I Just love the tune more each time i hear it ..which is pretty good considering i first listened to it in the summer of 76..great post:O)

  • hermoso

  • fucking awesome !

  • A Masterpiece..... #1 psychedelic rock group of all time.....

  • heavey was there best lp

  • Early Ampeg SVT probably with the 6146 output tubes.also early VT22 near rhino and pineras Super reverb and a few other fender amps.Don't see any Sunn stuf.

  • @crosscoupled - there's one (or more) Orange amps. there's on German TV show where they were the 'house amps'. as seen for example on the Alice Cooper 'I'm 18' video. and all the 1960s stuff from German TV (Small Faces, Spencer Davis etc). I'm guessing IB wasn't using them but probably part of the show's deal, free amps if they make sure they appear on stage!

  • they look like SUNN amps.

  • Lovin this Shit! {:>

  • MY FAVORITE RECORDING BY IRON BUTTERFLY!!!

  • 0:21 see that´s an artist! Yeah man pass da pipe dude!

  • they dont make music like that anymore!!!!

  • @tonykeywest07 there`s still good psychedelic music, you just got to look harder.

  • HAHAHA - the drummer is toast

  • when I was so tiny my mom always called me a butterfly....... my dad had this album which this song was actually 13 mins long and the last part the spider ate the butterfly, but this was my fav son back in the day.

  • @dgwesley76

nice analogy of that part of the song they cut out....spider and the ....I just thought it was funky as heel...their ability to just take sound to such great places...I'm lookin' for the album cut, now....have a good 'en...guayuh con dios

  • Mike Pinnera Guitar and vocals

  • One of the greatest band!!!

No me suena ninguno a Eric Brann.

    Gracias por subir el video.

  • Immortal gig!

  • okkkkkkkkkkkk I can go to work now...in a good mood....thanks IB:)

  • This song blows me away. Feel like toking to it.

  • HAHAHA THE DRUMMER IS SO high LOOK AT HIM AT 0:21

  • @xXBlinDXx12 no hes in a trance..they worked so hard and loved what they were doing...amazing era

  • @kentcrawf no arguement there friend. looks can be decieving. i mean everyone thought jimi hendrix was a heavy stoner putting LSD into his headband but when truth be told, he actually didnt do as much drugs as anyone suspected. it was the soul of the music and getting into the mood, becoming one with the music. thats what i love about it and why i hope to become a good musician.

  • @xXBlinDXx12 you will become more than a good musician with you `r influences and attitude...thank you for your reply and all the best! kent crawford

  • @xXBlinDXx12 uuh, Jimi Hendrix died because of a drug overdose, i'd say he did some heavier drugs than your average joe

  • @xXBlinDXx12 people make too much of the drugs thing...it's juts about being in the right frame of mind, drugs or no drugs....totally agree.

  • My faaaaaaave...too awesome for words...loving IB forever

  • Wow.......amazing performance, I hadn't seen this before!!

  • Eat your heart out Carlos Santana

  • 0:22 Ron Bushy´s moves are just out of this world. its the same in all Iron Butterfly videos, it looks like the man was made of rubber! but this is a fantastic song from a legendary band!

  • Infuckincreadable!!!

This is an amazing video, but such a talented group.

    Where did you get this?

  • favolosa !!!

  • Love this song-great vocals!

  • @frankieruiz88 what r u saying

  • Ron Bushy DOES WORK

  • simply love this tune... they sound like the doors a lil bit, but i think they're better? <3

  • Same Here I Thought There Did Not Existed, Know I Fell In Love With This Band!!! Have All There Albums!!! Hehehe!!! "Every Time I Reached For Her

    She Managed To Slip Away

Taking My Breath Away From Me

How Can I Make Her Stay

My Butterfly Fly Away With Meee Yeah!!!

Never Thought This Song Was Made!!!

  • same here, but how could I not know that they exist?

  • oh my fucking god and shit!! first headbangers yeaaaaah baby!!

  • 70´s the best ten years

  • My folks got Iron Butterfly and Led Zeppelin albums when I was a kid...great shit...luv it !!

  • f*ck yea.. nuff' said.. *)

  • Sweet organ! Nobody has class enough to do that!

Love the song. Ya know, I'm like a butterfly. Feasting on the nectar of many sweet flowers...

  • how the heck did I not know they were this good until now ? that was pretty sharp .

  • Like said. Amazing stuff!!! You fall in.... and barely come out.... ;-)

  • magic stuff !

  • Unfreakin believable! I've been looking for a live version of this song forever and I'm not disapointed, this made my week.

  • That was f***in amazing. What a killer band with iconic 60's rock style. Butterfly, the most under rated band ever...love it!

  • awe-fucking-some! Thanks for such a wonderful - and live !! - post .. . Makes this old 55-y-old want to dust off the mull bowl and roll a spliff or threeeeeee !!

  • fantastic piece of music by one of my favorites

  • they found his remains in the 90's

  • its so funny to watch the drummer trippin out,you think"he's no rocket scientist",however he designed the mx missle and then vavished from the face of the earth(as seen on unsolved mysteries) true story!

  • uhm... hes still with iron butterfly. name's Roy Bushy

was one of the founding members... says wikipedia and some fotos from google ;-)

    cheers

  • you're right,it was the bass player philip taylor kramer, sorry bout the mix up

  • just read it, cool stuff thx for the info!

    merry christmas :D LOL

  • That is El Rhino himself and the bassist is Lee Dorman also of Captain Beyond.

  • This is genuinely fantastic. I recognize Mike. But is the other guitarist El Rhino that eventually was in Captain Beyond?

  • Beautiful! Thank you for posting this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is real music....my dad is a big fan of them.......thanks for the video

  • I don't care where you found it, Thank You soo much! My favorite song, from my favorite Iron Butterfly album.

Excuse me while I break out my bass.

  • wow this is good but 24 years before my time

  • aplausos para el que la subió.

  • Thanks for posting! One of my favorites from Iron Butterfly. I saw this lineup in concert back in the early 70's-it was great!

Where did you find this video?

  • LOL the drummer is in so much acid...XD...Gracias miles frakieruiz88!!!

  • Amazing!!!

  • thanks for posting!

    Holy Shiiiittt.

    Sacre Bleu.

  • está perrón

  • Wow!!

  • Ron had Carl and Ginger up the creek

  • right fuckin on ! 09 and still going ( yes ) thanks for post

  • God i would of loved to hear Richard Wright and Pink Floyd do a re-make of this song ... this is amazing though

Muchas gracias nuevamente

  • Wow, another beautiful musical gem by the great IB I rediscovered! Thanks for the upload, Frankieruiz88!

  • what the fuck, are you kidding me.... do I got to say it again.these muthar fuk'rs straight to the point, rip!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pedazo de tema.

    Visitad nuestra pagina.

    G. D.

  • to wallruss and count:right right right, metamorphosis IS the best album,in my opinion...and this must be the first real heavy metal band...so sweet

  • SO FUCKIN BADASSS

  • buddy rich may have been "the man that built slingerland" But Ron Bushy def. built Zickos, and spawned a whole different make of drum in the percussion industry (IMHO). I mean who didnt want to play zickos after watching Ron bushy play them?! One of the best drum/bass teams in the world ---- ron bushy & lee dorman! --- BTW, check out Ramatam if you like the butterfly, fairly rare to get, but worth it.

  • Iron Butterfly spawned a thousand bands. But know one could touch em.The arrangements and musicianship was unlike any other band.'Ina gadda' came out in 68' and everyone said Wha?

  • is that mike pinera one of the best iron songs ever so soulful

  • Didn't Mike Pinera later help form Alice Cooper??

  • Ball was fantastic but nothin' could hold a candle to Metamorphisis.... mind you it came out in 1970 whereas Ball was released in 1969 .....so maybe you have a point!!

  • Ball is maybe the most underrated album of the 60's.

  • The most ripped-off band in history ! Iron Butterfly introduced so much magic into the 60's that most people will never know. They were the Catalyst of what we now call Hard Rock/Metal? Long before Zep n Ozz Magical Muthafka's

  • Don't forget about Blue Cheer....(heavy)

  • i always thought the byrds eight miles high was earlier beginner of hard rock. could be wrong tho. dr. demento would know,he played earlier obscure weird music. wonder if hes still alive.... luv butterfly tho, everyone banged the innagaddadavida drum solo all year like when wipeout came out. love that 60s sound!

  • The greatest psychedelic blues song I think I've ever heard. These guys should have never been one hit wonders with other fine tunes in their catalogue such as this one.

  • Get Captain Beyond debut album and post a comment, you'll see a mixup between old dp and ib...superb.
