how many songs out there today actually tell a story that means something?not too damn many, and even fewer decent ones..buck 65 is years ahead of our time..awesome vid, thanks for posting
i have always thought this guy was fuckin weird because of the lyrics he uses, but i liked him enough to buy two albums of his that i enjoy very much. =)
its-i saw, diamonds divide, the corners of her eyes. if ur gonna quote him, at least get it right, and its a good lyric by the way, most artists wud just say-i saw her crying, and thats gay and lacks imagination.sooooooo next?
His voice has totally changed since he started out. In his earlier work his voice was extremely high pitched. He really sounded like a 15 year old kid. He is awesome though, check out "Devils Eyes"
I don't know about most people when it comes to his music, but at first I hated Buck 65 - thought the music sucked, the words elementary & weak, and his whole style garbage - but after listening a few more times - getting used to the difference in hiphop listened to at the time - it grew on me. His new album on Strange Famous Records is very good. Buy it
no no no...let me drop the knowledge...its originally from the "SQUARE-language arts pt. 4" LP in 2002 and it doesnt have a track listing for each individual song. its simply broken up into 4 parts... square 1 square 2 square 3 and square 4 thats where this song was first featured
its doesn't matter if your green pink or purple. well if your purple your probable choking so you better start waving your hands. get someones attenion. just as much as ricardo aka buck 65 whos just happen to be from a small town in nova scotia.hiphop is a culture is all pure raw feelings expressed with a beat n a voice. ONELIFE
this is true hip-hop. pure poetry and blissful production, you don't see this on mtv. i love how the geezer flows with poetry that paints a picture in each song. plus, for a poetic mc, he always goes that extra length to craft some of the most creative and unique hip-hop compositions out there.
Well...ANY REAL rapper/MC ect, will tell you hip hop/rap IS poetry...so i DON'T see how a man with such MAD SUPERIOR flowetry needs to get bothered with no names saying he ain't a rapper...Buck proved YOU wrong a decade or more ago i am afraid...
if you are directing that at me RoaR3000, then perhaps you don't get what i mean... maybe if you researched betjman and you'll see comparing buck with him is a compliment.
Um, cutting through all the cultish comments, just gotta say this was pretty lame. 'm all for expanding hiphop's horizons, but what's with the Kenny Rogers backcountry ballad? And the forced-sounding country bumpkin accent? I'm pretty sure this guy is an excellent dj, but his vocal skills are wack.
I see what you mean but i think buck is more like a poet then an MC... not even really hip hop, i think thats just an influence... and the easiest to see. vocal skills aren't the important part, the writing is the importance. buck is more like sir john betjeman then deltron.
i want you to realize that everyone that has posted has ignored your ignorance to the fac that Buck kicks ass... now.. im evidently nothing like these people hence this reply to your stupidity... if you have no appreciation for love. for humanity. for just plain ole great music then maby you should listen to a little more of.. Buck.. but i think maby.. the saying "if you have nothing nice to say then dont say nothing" takes effect in this situation..
he's not underrated... those who rate him rate him off the charts...
Like literature, drink or food, art etc.... quality and mass appeal rarely cross paths.... as he says he's got the next 20 or 30 years... he's not the McDonalds of music... he's a rarity as is greatness
amazing performance, I love his one of a kind style, NO one rhymes like that lol
