  • Great song. Easy structure, lyrics and melody. It is a demo by the way. And could have easily been revved up like comin home. But sometimes these little late night demos capture the spirit of the song like a four track recording ala the beatles stuff. Catchy little ditty. A new old fave.

  • that's Paul Stanley when he was thinking of leaving KISS and going country because of grunge

  • Great song...sounds a little bit like "Shambala" from Three Dog Night at times...Thanks for this! Probably close to the same time period!

  • Sounds like an old rolling stones tune, at least at the beginning.

  • Yeah it sounds like it was written back in the Wicked Lester days...but that is absolutely an Ace Frehley lead break if ever I heard one. My guess is this is from around the time of the Hotter than Hell recordings. If this was Wicked Lester, there would be flutes and congas everywhere.

  • what did kiss go country lol

  • AWESOME TUNE!!

  • would have never guessed that was KISS. Nice tune.

  • its the seed of hard luck woman

  • @faithlessaaa Interesting. I see Sweet Ophelia as the seed of Hard Luck Woman.

  • This is a great song, superior and more melodic to a lot of stuff they put out. How could this not make it to an album? Sounds like any early 70's hit.

  • Why is it that all of the really great KISS stuff comes when Gene and Paul have not even started KISS yet? This song is miles above anything that KISS did back in the 70's and I love KISS but I have to be honest. . .

  • lmao, I thought they made a mistake somewhere or something. Was watching for it until I seen the comments. >_<

  • This is a great song and photos thanks!

  • This must be from the Wicked Lester days, because you'd never hear slide guitar on a 70's Kiss album.

  • Great pix

  • wicked lester...all their shit sounded like this

  • This is a Wicked Lester demo. Not Kiss.

  • Great pics of the early and ONLY KISS.....

  • Wow! KISS does country !

  • Back when they were called Wicked Lester !

  • Cool pic of Ace @ 1:26. Thanks for posting these pics.

  • @VenetianIsle In his book he says he had a car accident the day before this photo shoot and had to wear only part of his make up!

  • y r not these on kiss boxset? some o the shite on there wud drive ye 2 drink

  • These guy were and are....a really a bad band.

  • si c'est GENIAL NICE !!!

  • It is reported that this song was written for their first LP but was held back. It's a demo that reflects the popular folk-flavored rock of the time (ala, Rod Stewart) and was considered again for Dressed to Kill. Personally, I like it but I wouldn't want it as a part of a KISS LP. A box set cut would be killer, but I'm glad that they narrowed their sonic scope. Bands like PFloyd have a broad range, which spectrum KISS has always been capable of writing, but I've never wanted that for KISS.

  • I reallyreally dig this one ... although it sounds very familiar???

  • @RockJim72 I do not understand, sorry

  • @YERBLUES87 What don't ya understand? I dig the tune, although it sounds like I've heard it before, just not with Kiss ......

  • @RockJim72 Ah! Now if I understand, it happens that I'm from Argentina and my English is not very good. Thanks for commenting!

  • @YERBLUES87 Glad you understand now .... Have a great day :-)

  • @RockJim72 Also, thank you very much!
