Great song. Easy structure, lyrics and melody. It is a demo by the way. And could have easily been revved up like comin home. But sometimes these little late night demos capture the spirit of the song like a four track recording ala the beatles stuff. Catchy little ditty. A new old fave.
Yeah it sounds like it was written back in the Wicked Lester days...but that is absolutely an Ace Frehley lead break if ever I heard one. My guess is this is from around the time of the Hotter than Hell recordings. If this was Wicked Lester, there would be flutes and congas everywhere.
This is a great song, superior and more melodic to a lot of stuff they put out. How could this not make it to an album? Sounds like any early 70's hit.
Why is it that all of the really great KISS stuff comes when Gene and Paul have not even started KISS yet? This song is miles above anything that KISS did back in the 70's and I love KISS but I have to be honest. . .
It is reported that this song was written for their first LP but was held back. It's a demo that reflects the popular folk-flavored rock of the time (ala, Rod Stewart) and was considered again for Dressed to Kill. Personally, I like it but I wouldn't want it as a part of a KISS LP. A box set cut would be killer, but I'm glad that they narrowed their sonic scope. Bands like PFloyd have a broad range, which spectrum KISS has always been capable of writing, but I've never wanted that for KISS.

Great song...sounds a little bit like "Shambala" from Three Dog Night at times...Thanks for this! Probably close to the same time period!

Sounds like an old rolling stones tune, at least at the beginning.

This is not as catchy as "Its not the smoke" but these are really interesting! I don't know where you are getting them, but keep em coming!

This must be from the Wicked Lester days, because you'd never hear slide guitar on a 70's Kiss album.
