I wonder if it was a deliberate variation or if Nick just missed the string and and hammered on the note just after the beat..I seem to remember reading that Nick made a few recordings of the song during the session and the one eventually released was the one with the "fewest mistakes" in it..still it sounds just about perfect to me :)
Spot on guitar! Most covers on here don't have the change in the final verse. Makes it more authentic.
