Our sins are paid for, but not forgiven! That is a choice that you have to make! God will not force that upon anybody.. what kind of love would it be if He forced you to love Him?
You want to get good with God? Read His Word (afterall, He wrote it) and love Him and follow Him.. don't think that you're not already following Satan, sin, and the world.. because if your not trusting and loving God then you already a servent of spiritual death.
Then He sent Moses to give His commandments and people had to follow strict orders by God like sacrifices for your sins(but also do it out of love for Him) and still people turned from Him. Then He came as Christ and paid all of those sins, but rose from the grave to prove He is God and wants our love and is waiting for us.
God doesn't want anybody's money.. anybody that tells you that is trying to deceive you. God made it very simple for us and so many of us turn our back on Him. A little history lesson: When God created the world and people, all He wanted was their love and devotion to Him. People turned their back on Him and He brought the worldwide flood. People turned back to God and all was good.. except a while later when they turned on Him again.
