  • Very good Paul, I'm sorry I never got back to the songwriters meetings, but became too busy, all the best!

  • Five minutes ago I'd never heard of this instrument, and now I want one. The song is great too

  • Had an album by a Paul Brett in the late '70s.Had us all chasing after a bejewelled golden hare as I recall. You by any chance?Grew up in India with sitars and drones.12-Stringers and Open tunings seemed to be a logical continuance. This is a bit of a Lute-ar as far as I can make out.So jealous of the ease in which you play it...rather you played a Guild though.Glad you're still about if this is you.You were something of a hero back then and caused us all to think muchly of stuff xxx

  • @Rikk303

    Yep....that's still me....still plucking away.....

  • @guitbrett Yay you, you great big alive thing you. Sadly your album (on vinyl) got burnt in a fire a few years ago.Just to put my mind at rest....was it called "Masquerade" and connected with Kit Youngs' enigmatic and cryptic treasure hunt?Kit and you sort of come as a package in my memory such that it is

  • Amazing beauty. I can feel a rising breeze sough through the trees -- the branches clatter as if in applause.

  • What song is it your playing there?

  • @jkeg39 It from The Gryphon Suite that I recorded especially for this instrument. Track is Rampant.

  • Beautiful instrument beautifully played.

  • Fantastic stuff!

  • This is so amazing...makes me feel like...I cannot explain....I am in a place so far away...another time...

  • I played one of these at the Miami guitar show...quite nice to play. well made, versatile and fun to play. I for get how much they cost..

  • Amazing sound.

  • I heard about the Veillette brand when I saw Dave Matthews play one (Baby Blue) at a show in Dallas. Absolutely beautiful.

  • paul brett = god of acoustic guitars

  • I need one of these little suckers. I'd be able to play Cuban Tres and Puerto Rican Cuatro lines with the same instrument. This is just what I need. Time to break the piggy bank!

  • I listen to this and it reminds me of John Butler. NICE!

  • wow....speechless

  • Interesting review of this instrument in the October 2009 issue of 'Acoustic' magazine (UK).

  • Great stuff Paul. I have a couple of your old albums, Eclipse and Guitar Trek :-)

  • Paul, thanks for directing me here. What a beautiful sound! It encompasses the 12 string guitar with mandolin (I used to play that too) but also have a lute similarity. Very Renaissance...

BTW, when I grow up I wanna play just like you. ;)

Of course I'd have to live to be 200. LOL!

  • beautiful music
