The AHS at that time I guess didn't realize that calgary would become a city that large, and right now in calgary we are even in need of hospital beds. No offence to Alberta Provincial Goverment!
I remember that day like it was yesterday, we woke up early and stood on Scotsman's hill to watch along with hundres of others as the hospital was demonlished, I cryed like a baby.
I have pictures the day before the demolsion.
still to this day I think it was a huge mistake by the government to destroy this hospital. I have a lot of memories that took place there. Calgary has not been the same every since.
while it was extremely stupid to demolish a central hospital in favor of fragmenting hospitals into all corners of the city (one of the causes leading to manpower and bed shortages), the area around the general today is amazing.

I guess they didn't have a problem with asbestos. Still reminds me of Byberry tho from the look of the bldgs.
English subtitles would have been nice & a English narrator would have been better!
