Now - - - as I was a small child when all this originally aired, I remember being too afraid to watch DS... except when they were doing the Dream Curse.

Then, the plot was so good, a frightened 8 year old could not pass it up. When I recently rented the Dream Curse episodes on DVD, I could easily recall my fascination with that great plot. PLEASE DO A DREAM CURSE MIX!!

Thanks KalistiFive! When I started watching Dark Shadows on the Sci-Fi channel, I thought the song would fit the character. I'm glad you agree! If I ever have enough time I hope to make more Dark Shadows fan music videos using some of my favorite rock and metal songs!

As long as Rick Rubin and Glenn Danzig are still feuding, don't expect those fire two tapes to ever hit DVD. There are high-quality MPEGs of the tapes floating around the Internet, though. (I lost my tapes years ago.)

@stilgarthefreman Thanks for the Reese's analogy! I would've combined Angelique scenes from Dark Shadows with Danzig scenes from the "Her Black Wings" music video, but my vhs copy Danzig 2:Lucifuge The Videos is long deceased. I hope to find it on dvd someday.

Thanks ThymeBottle! I thought the song was a perfect fit for the witch who is the victim of unrequited love. When I first heard Danzig, in the late eighties, I thought their sound was infuenced by two legendary bands, the Doors and Black Sabbath. They were my favorite band for a few years back in the nineties.

@XOtericate Very much The Doors, indeed. And, a hint of Black Sabbath as well. I remember Danzig from that time period, too. Most excellent. (If any scene should have been done over, my pick would be that atrocious "bat on fishing pole" one. It just kills what would have been an otherwise outstanding scene. Frid and others should have insisted, but I guess they were intimidated by the budget monster.)

@ThymeBottle I agree! I only used a few seconds of that scene and left out any hint of the fishing pole and it still looks hokey. Its integral to the main plot of the show so I felt obiged to leave it in my video.

Thanks hecate55! My girlfriend Jane owns the entire series on dvd for our viewing but you can probably find DS on Netflix for rental. Meeting other DS fans on You Tube and discussing the show with them has been fun for me too!
