To be honest with you Being able to volley it like that is something that your born with .. The only soccer experience i have is 1 season at a club and i only played for 10-30mins at max. only 3 times! , and i have perfected that skill , i dont play much soccer , i like to mess around and do skills in my back yard , but if your any good at soccer , you'll be able to learn that straight away without no assistance , but nice video anyways mate!

And it's all well and good making a video of you in the box with only a keeper until you get a "good" volley (despite he scuffs it at 2:20) but try and do it an actual match with 6-7 oppo players around you competing for a header.

@BTKMedia maybe you want to improve, maybe people want help with the technique, it is all to practice to get better. You would only ever have 6-7 opponents around ya if it is off of a corner or free kick, but this would be most effective when you see the keeper a few yards off his line or you are one on one with a bouncing ball. People might be better with the ball on the ground and want to improve their volleys if they want to get into a academy.

@NasherCCYFC I'm sorry and i dont mean to sound like im saying you dont know anything about football, but if your in a one on one situation the chances of the ball being at chest height at which the volleys are shown in this video is minimal, and also in a one on one situation a volley is simply not the most viable option. 9 times out of 10 you will see either a controlled shot around the keeper on the floor, or an attempt to take it around the keeper. Never would you see a pro attemp a volley

@BTKMedia actually the possibilities are high as a ball played over the top will bounce high, beating the offside trap and a soft volley will go round or over the keeper. i always see pro's volley the ball on 1-on-1 a lofted volley will beat a keeper or a low volley will go round the keeper. I play and i find volleying the best option for a one on one if the ball is bouncing.

I guess you're teaching by example because i dont think there's any 'one' way to take a volley because during a game the chance of getting in a position to volley is quite rare and can come in pretty much any direction and height. Still, love the fact that you can take them from either left or right. When i take a volley from the right using my right foot, i find it hard to steer it goal side.

If only I watched this yesterday! I had a game yesterday and i was about 3 min from 90 and I had a golden opportunity to score from a volley, but, it went just wide to the top-left. We ended up tying 3-3.

I'll be sure to use this next time I get the chance for a volley and hopefully score! Good upload.
