I think it's funny how people say "OH THEY'RE SO UGLY." That's not the point of fashion. Fashion is supposed to make you think. Fashion isn't supposed to be all pretty. It's the juxtaposition of ugly and pretty in such a creative way that makes haute couture so breathtaking.
