help plz when i try to install microsoft direct x 9.0 it says 'A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the cryptographic services are enabled and the cabinet file is valid' can someone plz tell me what to do thx
I could only imagine that Ben Franklin would mess everything up if he used a computer. Everyone else would have Windows, and he would have a Mac with Pages rather than a real computer.
How about this... I hold this truth to be self-evident. Microsoft has given me the last reason I need to download, use and contribute to the development of Open Office... Why not take it a step further and "reimagine" the writing of the Qur'an? What a disgrace. Sorry that Bill and Co has so little respect for one of the most important moments in our nation's history that they felt it ok to turn it into a farce and a joke. If you wonder what's wrong with the country, look no further.
@vt92psyc Is it really necessary to tie everything to politics. Perhaps that is "what's wrong with the country". There is always something wrong with any country. Live and have some fun once in a while!!
@speng01 - Well, first, it really wasn't funny, at all. Maybe if you're a MS geek, but other than that, with regards to comedy this was a massive failure regardless of the subject. If you want to see something truly funny with regards to politics, check out Lewis Black... Second, if you don't take some things seriously, you'll wake up wondering one day what happened.
Interestingly, I was writing a paper about the Boston Tea Party when I saw "Microsoft Word's Decalration of Independence" on the corner of my screen. Well, that was inspiring :)
Great! Now, if only you could make the same amount of improvements on MS Publisher, things would be perfect. I like Publisher better than Word. Word always messes up my graphics!
I love the constitution. The writers where scientists that wanted to see how small Govt. could be without falling apart. The Idea of a Govt. that took almost half you income and started wars all over the world was despicable in their eyes. Good thing they saved us from that! lolz (not)
---- I gave you a Republic.... if you can keep it. - Ben
You made it, Bill Gates! A "Microsoft" screen for people in communicating every second on a globe via satellite! Congratulations to all people in Microsoft. Bravo!
This isn't spam, it's sarcasm. Well deserved sarcasm, at that. Youtube, if you delete this, I will lose whatever little respect I have left for you...
This is a great video. However, there is [at least] one big problem: the Declaration was not penned in Jefferson's handwriting. Jefferson authored it (with help from others). It was Timothy Matlack's penmanship that you see on the Declaration of Independence. So, Microsoft...I hate to say it, but you might want to redo this video to also include Matlack and his handy work.
I guess Microsoft has a bit of a different idea of what 'independence' means compared to Webster's. This video is ironic to say the least.
By the way- thanks for letting comments like this actually show up. I like the guys at Microsoft- you're making much better software these days. I hope you're not offended that I won't use it- I guess I value my independence too much to do that. :\
Get google chrome and download the office web app an you can use all of Microsoft office for free and the only bad part is you need Internet but it's better than paying $150
Pretty imaginative, but such a lengthy imagination. I know a lot can happen due to this type of technology. Can we convince the politicians to get along, to just change a few words here and there to avoid going into further debt or most especially defaulting on the debt we already have? Some people say we have the money. Well, where is it. In the hand of the rich Republicans that got the bailout!
Funny, well-done and entertaining. Thank you!! From a few comments below I see that SOME people have nothing better to do than criticize everyone else. Um, what have you guys created today!?
can't believe Microsoft didn't know the difference between Samuel Adams and John Adams... JOHN helped draft the declaration of independence, not his cousin Samuel.
But then again, saying wrong things about the history of american independence seems to be the popular thing nowadays...maybe someone will try and edit wikipedia now to cover up microsoft's mistake ;)
It's very entertaining, but it also gave me tons of ideas on how I can maximize my use of MS Word 2010.Styles and effects are cool ways to make your papers look more compelling!
@VCat2006 that's indeed a video of the Wave. But you can't honestly compare a MS video with a user-generated screen capture. Note how MS video is zoomed on the active part of the screen: a view of the whole screen would have looked awful (too small to read at least). If Google had made a video of their wave it would certainly have been zoomed, with live-typing and with music - but then MS wouldn't have made such an obvious copy !
@CleverClothe Ummm... Here's what wikipedia...Sam did sign as one of the MA colony reps but it was cousin John that helped draft it along with Jefferson, Franklin and Sherman.
They are politicians. Interns would be doing the actual work. They would just sign it after legal was done with the review.
