year round school will not always work in some areas, climate conditions...i would not sit in a hot classroom in the summer, being miserable and not learning anything becasue i am miserable. summer vacation is a time for family and vacations and enjoying the outside.that is why i encourage home schooling if it can be arranged.private school according to your beleifs....there are many alternative ways to teach children besides the public school systems.
