continued... and buying a Popcorn Hour A-200, but now I am wondering if I should get this instead.

I like the idea of being able to put a 200GB hdd inside of the unit, but if the network shared folder support is customizable enough I can live without the internal hdd.

Netflix sounds good too. Are they planning on replacing the PH with this or will they keep the PH line alive as well? I also don't want to buy a new PH A-200 and have them stop supporting it.

I recently purchased a WD HD Live, but I'm unhappy with the menus.. very bland and no skinning. I also don't like how you can add shortcuts to your networked shared folders so when we want to watch I video I have to locate "VIDEO/Network/SHARES/WORGROUP­/SPOONMAN/HD Video" each time! I was hoping you could just save your source and have it show up in the root of VIDEO.

Anyway, I was looking at returning this and....

@forty4 How was it buggy? Did you make sure to upgrade to the latest firmware?

I had no problems with the WD Live HD and I played mostly 1080p MKV vids, MP3, YouTube, and Pandora.

I would tell you to make sure you stay away from the PopBox if you don't like bugs.. that thing is INFESTED!!

I am going to probably buy the WD Live again or I may spend a bit more and buy a Popcorn Hour A-200 for the enhanced menus

@videogameobsession I was in the same boat as you. I hated going down through all the menus just to find the video i wanted. This guy (search b-rad.cc) does some pretty cool things with the hardware and fixes some of the issues. After thinking it over i'm just going with a Atom/Ion combo and running XBMC on it. I'm very familiar with it as I have been using/hacking at it since it's very humble beginnings on my Xbox1.

Would Hulu intergration down the line require buying a whole new unit? Or would a software update take care of it?

@dannyboylee I wouldn't hold my breath on that. Maybe there is a way you can get it working on this with an app such as PlayOn though. I use that to view Hulu on my PS3. $20 for a lifetime license was a good deal.
