Here in the Uk the Smart is seen as a fashion statement.
According to the dealership i bought mine from ( Manchester) many Smart customers have very expensive machinery such as top end Mercedes and even Bentleys.
They use the Smart as a little shopping car thats easy to park.
Not all smart owners therefore are on a tight budget like myself.
