I have the Dr Z Z-28, with custom Tele's So I guess it would sound very similar in my chain. I am trying to decide if I should save big bucks on a killer boutique OD? Or use something more affordable like this.

@KsideHb after hearing several dozen of these magic boxes, alot of them are starting to sound the same,except the obvious high quality units like the t-rex,fulltone, & a few others, but most get that same ts 808/t-9 range of sound with maybe a bit more edge on some, i like t-rex alberta & moller & mi blues box? also the maxon is a bit more to my kind od sound otherwise all of the rest i heard sound alike..

It's just too good to be true. For $50, I'm expecting a ds1 sounding pedal and not something distortron made or an ocd pedal, u know? It just seems a little sketchy to me. I really wanna buy it but I don't wanna change my mind about it a month later. Does it really sound that good and would I really be satisfied with it???

It seems like the swtich is just a clipping switch thats also on GGG pedal :) Because it really sounds the same.
