  • my guinea pig used to popcorn a lot when she got lettuce or spinach, then she got chubby. but at the time it was so cute to see her happy. :)

  • @whiteybooxo yea u can its called fleece, the urine gets right through as its nonabsorbant and gets absorbed by newspaper underneath. Do som basic research next time be4 saying "u cant"

  • my piggie treebeard popcorns and makes really loud squeaking noises! I was freaked out until i saw this video and realized he's just popcorning. ^.^ whew!

  • lol my guinea pig is 2 or 3 years old and every time I give her spinach she popcorns! Its so cute

  • i love popcorning piggies!! =D makes my day!!

  • is popcorning good?

  • @KnG1Dakota yeah, it means the guinea pig is very happy and hyper, and is basically jumping for joy! :D

  • @KnG1Dakota yes it means they are very happy

  • @KnG1Dakota YEAH ♥

  • @KnG1Dakota

Yes it is :D shows there happy and exicted

  • i see so may cages without bedding jst fabric n stuff? how u suppose to clean the piss lool? u cant

  • @whiteybooxo Fleece, is better for their skin, then regular bedding. You have to wash the fleece every 2-3 days. (Atleast in my case) However you have to have time to wash and change it, I started using bedding again since I started school.

  • The cage is big enough its a c&c cage WITH a store bought

  • isn"t the cage a little too small?

  • I like how you connected a C&C cage to a store bought one, very clever :)

  • Cuteeeee

  • they look so happy to have a new cage :)

  • So that's popcorning x3

  • @LordYaoi What is?? Them twitching?? :S

  • @ZoePorterCoOperated Yesh. They're twitching and bouncing around like corn as it pops! >:3

    Brilliant! Buahaha!

  • @LordYaoi Haha! Aww thts dead cutee!! My guinea does this all the time and we thought it was unhappiness but it's the exact opposite! It means they're happy and full of spirits!! :D

  • @ZoePorterCoOperated Now I want one, even though my doggy would get jealous >:(

  • Awwee.. my piggie does that all the time.At first i was worry, but now, i see!! =3

  • Popcorning away!

  • did you make this or buy it

  • LOL White Guinea Pig: -pop corns- OH NO what's going on with me?! -runs away- xD

  • You are CRUEL you need to get more space for your guinea pig!

  • @zoocritter100 That's not close to "CRUEL" At least they're not kept in a small cardboard box idiot.

  • I like how the bigger one is just watching him like "what the hell is wrong with you?"

  • Hiccups?

  • Loll they jump HIGH!!

  • i luv piggies and my sister used to show them in 4h. wen a rabbit does that its called a binky

  • but this is a very small cage :-( poor piggies...

  • Since you have a C&C cage built, is there coroplast underneath the blankets? Or is it somthing else? I'm reseaching about Guinea Pigs to get one by the end of summer break, and i need lots of help. I'm actually finding ways for no urine stench, and the best way to clean my pet, and to save money on toys food, and other handy things for the little critter. Your popcorning Piggies are adorable!!!!!! :DD

  • oh you have a C&C cage :D Good for you! your Cavys have plenty of room. They're so cute btw

  • um this cage is abit small try a 2 by 5 :) they will enjoy it alot more i kno my piggies do

  • My Lucy is popcorning right now. Are we sure it's a happy thing? I'm new to guinea's and it does seem odd?! I'm starting to think she doesn't like the hay bedding. It's all chopped up so that it doesn't stick into them etc. I'm delighted if she is happy...its just so odd! ;)

  • Umm.. do you have to wash those Towels everytime they mess up?

or how often do you wash them? I new for this kind of thing. hehe

  • @dmj26py

People can use towels or fleece, but most just do spot-cleaning every day and full-out cleaning once a week.

  • That is really cute!

  • That lil pig is happy look at em :)

  • I put mine out in the yard and it ran away. I'll bet it had a nice winter if it lived that long.

  • whos a happy piggie

  • One time i had my back turned and my guinea pig throws a food pellet (or was it poop) at me o_o (how?????)

  • I thought mine was having a seizure in the middle of the night.. Because she was also making them weird guinea pig noises to :O

  • the big ones all like calm down!!! lol nice video

  • aww

  • LOOOL when my guinea pigs first did that i thought they were having a serious heartattack and i thought they were hurted badly :L

so i took them to the vet and the vet man laughed at me -_- "

    gosh , i love guinea pigs :D :D

  • @Chihiro7077 Lol, I'd of giggled a bit. Then again, no one ever knows this right away! xD Mine only pop corns in That Pet Place, she won't popcorn in her cage... Idk why, she was popcorning when we got her! :P shes so adorable.

  • @Chihiro7077 guinea pigs "popcorn jump" when they are excited or full of joy (at least thats what my dictionary said) ♥ haha i have a guinea pig also!! ♥ totaLLY LOVE THEM♥

  • @Chihiro7077 we just got ours today, and I thought he was having a seizure! Glad I saw this video!

  • oh my god it's so excited!!! so cute!!! the other one's like whoaaaa what are you doing lol

  • thats cute how did u make there cage?

  • he's jumping for joy! XD

  • when mine first started doing that.. i thought there was something wrong with him.. i got all upset cause i thought we had to bring him back ! :'( but then on youtube i saw videos like these and i was so happy !!!

  • Ya! Ya! Lets jump guys! IM SO EXCITED! Ya! Guy!

  • I love da furry one!! I wanna fluff it up!! :D :D :D

  • @PrincessMiller thats good! But yeah, its funny cuz its the newest one who is territorial XD its usually the oldest :P But yeah i didnt know a couple of things either when I first got em :P We make mistakes, its normal :)

  • @superpet250 yes! Males can live toghether but the thing is that they are very territorial and you might have to sepperate them if they fight. But if u get lucky , they can be best friend but with a little territorial problems here and there. Hope this helps!

  • @GuineaPigHelpGuide I bought a guinea pig exactly one week ago and few days ago I decided he needed a friend. Of course before doing the research I put them together right away. They don't fight but they do test the territory thing. They actually sleep together when they are in their playpen together. ::D

  • hey, does anyone know if two male guinea pigs can live together?

    thank you!

  • @superpet250 : Yes they can but if u r introducing them to each other for the first time make sure to keep them seperated for a few weeks , with their cages next to each other. They would be fine togther!! Just watch then thow some do fight each other.

  • This videoooo is soooo effin cute!!!!!

  • my guinea pig used to do that too, then i found out it was prone to seizures and hate it put down

  • I have the same wood house! It will last forever, trust me!

  • ferrets are better

  • @Stars1271 NOT

  • @vidir5000 yus they pwn guinea pigs

  • I want my pigs popcorning, too :D

  • They do seem very happy to have such an interesting place to live. There is much to explore!

  • no wood shavings?

  • @RS11raptor11 Fleece and towels are cheaper, but I suppose you could use kiln-dried shavings from wood, too if you wanted.

  • @RS11raptor11 I hear that wood shavings are not good for there skin.

  • @ComicRandomness

My pigs have been on shavings all of their lives with no problems.

  • @tornadoe13 It all depends on the shavings really. Like pine isn't a good idea because it can cause breathing problems later on for the pigs and other pigs just don't handle wood shavings as well as others. It all really depends on the preference of the owner and how well the pig takes to the bedding.

  • @ComicRandomness Correct. When I had mine, we used some sort of litter made from recycled paper (I forgot what brand it was). We originally tried the wood shavings, but it was dusty and the guinea pig eventually picked up a mite problem that caused it to temporarily lose hair and need veterinary treatment. It was the same vet that recommended the bedding switch.

  • @ComicRandomness

You hear alot then. I just wan't to confirm that sawdust is not bad for their skin. :)

In my piggie cage i put Cage Fresh Granules (these little sprinkley stuff to make their pee not smell) in then i put sawdust on top of that :D At first i just used newspaper and hay but i changed my mind because sawdust absorbs wee better :L now i only have to clean my cage twice a week! :D there was 3 piggies but one died so i guess theres only two :( less pee pee now! haha

  • @rebut509

I have read that sawdust causes respiratory problems for them? I put down newspaper, sawdust then hay in the hope that the sawdust will absorb wee and hay will be softer on their feet and prevent any problems with dust from the sawdust.

  • @ComicRandomness only aspen wood shavings wont irritate them any other wood will

  • @ComicRandomness aspen bedding is good for them, and they are alot happier. But never give them pine or ceder or anything like that. But aspen bedding is really good for them.

  • @chibscutes No, as it dries out their sensitive skin & makes them more prone to skin issues, especially texels. Not to mention the dust. The best bedding is fleece for most owners & pigs, often combined with a kitchen area with paper or wood based pellet bedding.

  • @ComicRandomness hmmm...?

  • @RS11raptor11 You can use wood. Just not pine. Get it right!!!

  • ive got threee and they love to kick up thier bedding all over my floor :D

  • the fluffy one looks like cousin itt. it's so cute.

  • lol they are so happy

  • Awww they are so happy!!!

  • i love the fluffy one ... they are both very cute :)

  • omg the white one is so happy!<3

  • I'm literally going to die from the amount of cuteness coming from those piggies!

  • why did they do that

    ???

  • @TheMrMecurial they super happy

  • @TheMrMecurial Because they are stoked on life!

But for real, they do it because they are excited, happy, and have huge amounts of energy in their bodies. It's their way of releasing that energy/happiness :3

  • haha my guinea pig does tht exactly like yours (: haha but sometimes he gets a little too excited and he will start to go on his side and popcorn Ö

  • The big fluffy one is just like "Dude, WTF...."

    XDD

    Soo adorable!

  • everyone guinea pig owner has that rainbow thing in their cage

  • @romandoggie I dont

  • @romandoggie i dont

  • @romandoggie i dont

  • @romandoggie i dont

  • @billyjoee007 Most poeple use blankets instead of bedding in guinea pig cages because its hypoallergenic friendly for most people (i am severely allergic to guinea pigs and their bedding but still managed to keep them as a pet), and it's better for the pigs since it's softer and is less irritable. Just don't use fabric softener on it when you clean it and it should provide a nice bedding for your pet guinea pig

  • my guinea pigs 'pop corn' when i feed them. it is so funny. they always kick the sawdust out of their cage

  • i get so happy when my guinea pigs popcorns

  • :D that's so cute

  • My guinea pig, Batman, popcorns like that when I change the cage. Mom, Dad and his sister just chill lol

  • @Snowberry23 Gross! Did you flick it on it's face and put it in the poo?

  • @Snowberry23 My piggies fling poop everywhere while pop corning..! lol

  • @BillyMouse1 It's fun to watch though I think ^^

  • My guinea pig loves popcorning at night time...i wonder why? I still love him though! XD

  • i cleaned their cage today and mine was popcorning all over the place. and they are only 3 weeks with me and theyve popcorned twice. even my poor sick Cookie popcorned and came out of his shell! :) cute piggies ;D

  • is popcorning supposed to be the same as binkie in rabbits?

  • Hmm... I've never seen mine popcorn... Oh well, they still like me anyway :D

  • lol. my guinea pig will literally pop a foot in the air. he'll keep doing it for like 10 minutes straight too. =)

i used to own a hamster but it was hard work considering the worker at petco jammed her hand in their and grabbed a random hamster. so that made him scared. but ive tried to tell em that piggies are laid back and easy to care for and that im responsible. please help.

  • acually guniea pigs are a alot of work but how i convinced my parents is i kept asking and dont throw fits because they will say no and give good resons why you deserve it and mabey theyll let you get 1

  • @EasyTricker hamsters are just like that anyway, every hamster I ever met was a grumpy thing that bit and hid away all the time. Can't stand them personally! tell them they are just as loving as dogs and cats!

  • I've had guinea pigs since i was 2...... we always called this "doing the rodeo" lmao :P

  • i finally got my guinea pig! she is rusty brown and white with a black spot around the eye! she is awesome, i got her on friday and i went somewhere on friday at 6 and came back today at 1 and she is already letting me pet her! i am so blessed with her and i would like to thank everyone whom made this possible!

  • The other dudes lkke wtf

  • okay guys, i want to get a guinea pig so bad and my mom thinks i can get one. the only thing i have to do now is convince my dad! but how????????

  • @nesw13 puppy eyes

  • You're wrong already. Pigs are very unhappy alone, and should at least live in pairs if not larger groups. You haven't done your research.

  • do research on them and point out all the good facts about them and assure him you will take care of the guinea pig :) or tell your mom to convince him haha

  • @nesw13: tell him they're great pets (cus they are!), easy to look after and that you'd clean em out every week.

thats how i convinced my dad, anyway :)

  • @nesw13 Show him any of these guinea pig videos on youtube, who could resist then?! :D

  • tell he can eat em but cross ur fingers and make sure ur mom is behind u to see you cross ur fingers

  • saaame. I'm like please but he keeps saying no :(

  • @nesw13 i convinced my dad to let me get a guinea pig by telling him i have no friends and just need some one to hang out with

  • how much mph^^??

  • That looks neat! The cage. =] Did you buy the extension at spirit cavy? Your guinea pigs look so happy, and cute! <3
