  • thoroughly enjoyable video, found your channel by error ~ looking for another channel. A very pleasant accident. Thanks for sharing. I believe you are an expert in "stealth camping'', something I am attempting to do here in the ''states''. Cheers

  • @10pennsy Thanks for your unexpected visist and feedback, much appreciated. Good luck with wilding it stealth style out there in the big ol' US of A.....good times! :-))

  • Hi love the videos, just so you no, aluminium camp sets ie mess tins are linked to altziemers, only use stainless steel, throw the aluminium out and even none stick to.

  • @danwormald No worries there, my profession involving diet/nutrition I'm fully aware of aluminium amongst other metals contributing to health probs'. All my kit is s/steel - pots/pans/billys/Swedish army trangia stove etc etc. All kit in this vid is s/steel - kettle/pots/pans. Thanks for the likeing, all the best!

  • Enjoyed the video and the river view. Thanks

  • @snappydog357 Thanks very much for watching and comment :-)

  • I love your adventure spirit! Fantastic camp setup!!!! I just found your channel based on a comment you left me 3 months ago that I somehow missed. Subscribed!!! I look forward to watching all of your old videos and learning from you.

  • @enjoythewildUSA Thanks for your comment and feedback. I hope you enjoy my travels and information to help with outdoor living. "Be out there and be safe" Cheers!

  • brilliant, brilliant, brilliant,,,,,,i live in telford which is far too inland for my liking (love the sea),, but right on my doorstep is ironbridge, basically the river severn,,, uv just taught me im taking this great river for granted, im such a dope, why oh why, have i not taken advantage of this??? thanks for opening my eyse mate :),,,, one prob though,,how do i stop bein eaten to death by midges, also i noticed you use a fixed blade, wats the legalities?

  • @feiz01 Great that you're considering more indepth canoeing etc - nice one. I use deet wet wipes on skin to deter midges/nats etc. There are body sprays and incence smokey devices to use when based at camp. Chemist and ebay should supply. Legal knife carry max 3" folding pocket blade/knife. I use about 4 different knives 3" up to 8".....what people don't see they don't miss ;-) If a person blatantly flashes them around without any purpose then they have to expect some sort of comeback. Cheers

  • nice video. A beautiful area to paddling. I also like to paddle. I wish you much fun in nature. Greeting Tito

  • @Naturliebe Thanks Tito. The place is very secluded and quiet, just right.

Safe paddling yourself in the great outdoors.

    Regards Pete

  • I'm a new to your videos and am loving them all. Thank you for recording all this great info. I haven't seen how you keep the bugs away. I see you don't normally use a tent so it looks like you would deal with a lot of bugs sleeping and all.

  • @ThaLyncher Thanks for your interest! Not had much of a prob' with insects/bugs. Yes they creep about on the ground but no harm. Only midges/mozzies around my shaved head so use deet wipes when neccessary. Have tents but prefer to be closer/see ones surroundings using tarp. I have a pyramid mozzi net to drap over me when sleeping if needed. Always recce ground in case of insect nests etc. Keep a sharp eye to brush away anything that could be in living space. All the best outdoors. Cheers.

  • Looks like you have nice stream as well.

  • @MrBudwv Yes there a lots of nice little backwaters flowing off the main rivers in this case the Thames, featured on some of the other vids. All the best.

  • nice canoe...!

  • are you an angler by any chance?

  • @re5bomw2 I used to fish, now only occasionally from canoe with 70cm canoeing trolling rod if I'm out for more than 3 days.

  • wow I would love to learn how to do all that stuff..Very pretty!!!

  • @galaxymk Cheers.

  • Don't cooperate with banks, corporations! Don't give them anything! Organize! Say it to your friends! Thanks! Good Luck!

  • @VegEdGoku Will burry my money by a riverbank ;-) cheers

  • Nice. Beautiful. :)

  • @VegEdGoku Yes a gr8 place to be, cheers!

  • hi great video, like the look of the water bag/filtration system where did you get it from /what make is it ? cheers

  • @moomountain Thanks for the thumbs up, details/info' @ drinksafe-systems.co.uk. Cheers.

  • Love the canoe campsite. Nice, looking at the gravity filtration. Were you able to fish for food? Enjoyed the video!

  • @ihikearoundcom Thanks for comment, have sea fished in the past, only leisure fishing on the river. Getting an environment dept' license so I can net for crayfish on the Thames, looking forward to cooking them up on the river bank :-)

  • Thanks for sharing the details of your camp. Great video!

  • @CampfireTalk Thanks for your interest and appreciation. More travels, kit and skills to come. Cheers

  • Great vid mate, i love watching this stuff :)

  • @goofa6641 Glad you like dit bud, more up n coming stuff on the way.

  • That canoe is awesome, and your dog is way cool. Good vid, Mate.

  • @TheSurviver72 Thanks m8ee, yes dog's gr8 company, like a radar when it comes to sensing wildlife, people nearby etc - can't get that from kit shop or ebay :-)

Indepth canoe review in progress to be uploaded soon. Cheers

  • Kingfishers always call before they fly off and as they land. Unless they are a juvenile bird interloping in another birds territory. The call is ahigh pitched peep peep.

  • @SMB1965 On the quieter backwaters I should be able to hear so I'll defoe listen out for the peep. Cheers

  • cheers for the help mate with the sleeping bag liner ,i though it was one myself but wasnt 100% sure thanks anyway .HK.

  • At the moment, the only thing that is stopping me from doing this sort of thing is that I am revising for my As levels... But when they are over, I am most definately going to do something like this! May even add a spot of fishing for something to do/eat!

    Great video, keep them coming

  • @n1ck3o7 Thanks for the view & comment. With the appropriate kit out on the waters for a few days you'll have a whale of a time, bit of fishing or foraging for food with expedition pack foods. Something to look forward to after all your education grafting. Other exploits on my channel with more to come. Cheers

  • What a brilliant video, I love to wild camp, go walking etc, thanks for filming it , loved it, look forward to more I hope! :-)

  • @007vauxhall Thanks for your appreciative comments, glad you liked the experience. More vids of my maverick exploits uploaded very soon, the content more to share the exploits hopefully to inspire others to reconnect with nature.

  • The video is very well composed..you should do a series..cool

  • @fsl001

Cheers for viewing and comment. Eventually uploading past canoeing exploits and new ones to come with more practical info'.

  • We have alot waterways here, (southern La. USA) but the misquitos preclude any activities such as what you do. No to mention the humidity. Thanks for your service sir.

  • Thanks for view/comment. A few mozziz around the waters sometimes but no real probs so far to hold back from canoe activities. Humidity must make you feel you want to jump in the cooler water :-/

Hope you can do some outdoor activity around your sth La waters and wilderness.

  • @MINDWISEMAN Yeah, I have the same problem in Ontario, Canada- during the time of year when it's as warm as it looked in your video, one is positively swamped by mosquitoes unless one wears a net. I'd love to have the freedom to sleep with no mesh and relax without a shirt while camping, but there's no chance around here.

Nice video, by the way! Looked like a lovely place for a trip.

  • @MacCairnie Thanks for viewing and your comments. Sorry to hear you get mozzid up in Ontario. Canada must have some fantastic wilderness experiences if you can get there, it's a beautiful vast country. One day I'd would like to explore parts of it. I will be posting some more of my past and future UK canoe/camp travels soon which you may find of interest. Thanks again.

  • nice video mate its been a long time since ive been on the water

  • Good to go out on all waters......unless they are frozen. Now we're having the big thaw after all that freeze and snow so should be out in canoe soon :-)
