ps2 lens error

mine dosnt do that but i need help figuring out why my ps2 slim lazer wont read a brand new disk. my lazer ceeps popping up n down. i let it set for about two hours to see if that would give it a chance to read the disk but it ceeps skiping. SOME ONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think i got my modded 4 yrs ago and the guy said that my lens wasn't gonna last me very long. Eventually it didn't play anything and so I got a replacement len. I installed it, but it still don't work. What could be the problem?

maybe you should check the PS2 Lens Ribbon if theres a Cut or a Little Cut or if your Lens has a Error then you should by a new LEns

just search to the internet or ebay that is. Mine it has no Lens error so only the ribbon is the problem because when i open the ps2 to fix the cooling fan it torned.... so i search to the internet and i founded the PS2 ribbon cable for 350php.peso. in rocksoftonline dot dom

Mine does he same thing i cant figure out why it does it works for a sec then sounds like grinding and the laser jumps up out of the plastic shell and hits disc

My ps2 does the same thing!! It clicks and hits the disk!! Now I have perfect circle scratches close to the center!! and it no longer reads them at all!! Im tired of it!!!

how long have you had your ps2? i had mine for about 5 years in it stop working on me and the guy that work on gamestop it was the len it. because it was used some much. this was like 3 years ago this happened to mineing. but it was still playing ps one games. but not ps2 games and i don't mod my ps2 because i don't know at that time you could do that.

the problem is the plastic laserarm it doesnt conect the motor repair it or buy a new 1 ;)
