@30MFLORES Phonte has a solo album coming out in September with 9th on production. I'm sure Rapper Big Pooh will prolly have a guest appearance or two.
I really get tired of hearing the same kick and snare in every 9th beat.He uses the same formula for the majority of his beats. He has a great ear for putting together samples&remains one of the best Hip-Hop producers of all time, but he's not top 5.
man why cant they all be as hot as this and say things that relate to listeners, instead of putting a big ass gold chain around my neck and look ignorant as fuck jumping around on the tv screen (soldier boy), cash, hoes, guns and killing shit.
man why cant they all be as hot as this and say things that relate to listeners, instead of putting a big ass gold chain around my neck and look ignorant as fuck jumping around on the tv screen (soldier boy), cash, hoes, guns and killing shit.
shut up y'all...joe scudda is a good rapper...ya say he ain't coz ya are surprised he's white....the first time i heard joe scudda singin' i thought he was black..then i discoverd he wasn't but my opinion about his way of doin music stayed the same...........gotta love joe
What I love about 9th is the way he makes the artist come alive. The connection he has with some of hip-hop best talent (including Joe Scudda) is just incredible. When I hear a track Prod. by 9th Wonder, I don't just listen to the lyrics, I feel a emotional connection. In my opinion, that "connection" is the most important element for hip-hop. Joe Scudda and 9th Wonder thank-you for reminding all of us that rap is not simply about killing, drugs, or bitches its also about emotional content.
AMEN!! It's a connection indeed. It's a way of life. The meaningful lyrics that we can relate to along with wicked beats and beautiful melodies are what makes 9th Wonder and talented lyricists special. You're right! It's not all about killing, drugs, and ho's. The whole Justus League is horribly Underrated!
@YouBetterRRRecognize They came out in the wrong decade.... Had they come out in the 90's they would have gotten their respect due along with the Wu-Tang Clan
@Darkelfwizard thats so real.. thats what s wrong with things today. emotions are underplayed like these mc's and its only real if you act hard and live by no feeling. a human without emotion is a bomb about to go off as love fuse gets shorter. where's the love at man??? and naw I dont have to say "no homo" behind that because I feel.....
What up what Up Jr Rhymes in da Biulding just passing to let yall know that that beat is fucking great... Mad props to 9th and J Scudda (good lyric dog)
Joe needs to releae his album already!! for the longest time i thought scudda was a brotha and when i saw him for the first time i was like damn i didnt know white boys had soul like that ha ha jk good music is good music no matter what race you are and joe makin some good music props
Why do I get the feeling that some posters on here detest Joe Scudda, simply because he is....well White! Come on guys, give respect where respect is due.l Isn't this the same RACISM we as Black folks face in the workplace when White bigots think Blacks ain't bright and that we only good for manual labour...based on our skin tone? Racism is racism, regardless of who does it. Be a constructive critic, not a twisted prejudial bias hate monger.
Thats real talk though. It's a trip how catts think since we're black or hispanic, that we cant be racist. Like it's some kind of trait only whites have. For yall people hating. Get your mind right. Hip Hop is Hip Hop, either help us build on it or get the fuck out the way....NUGGA.
this is one of 9th's better beats - i'd put this above any of his beats on "murs for president," which is weird cause this song hardly saw the light of day compared to "murs for president" on a major label
he says it all the time even in this song open your ears not exactly the greatest mc ever either actually quite shit to be honest hearing him with phonte and phonte kills him on every track
Dude, what are you talking about? Joe doesn't say the n word at all thru the whole song. And as far as Phonte "killing" him on every track, Tiggalo does that with most MCs.
Real talk. I've said for years that he's the best MC in the south...and if he isn't, only Bun B is on his level. I know cat's that say Lil Wayne is on his level lyrically, but that shit goes in one ear and out the other as far as i'm concerned.
@desertdetroiter i wouldnt say lil wayne isn't a lyricist but he let drugs and money get to his head and now he sounds like he is just bullshittin when he spits. Thats why i lost so much respect for him as a lyricist because its all commercial with him now.
Sorry. Thanks for playing though. Joe's been my friend since 2001. I've been in the studio with him countless times. Never heard him drop the n bomb once, on a song, or in person. As far as him and Phonte, they've only done a handful of songs together. Maybe 8 or 9 tops, in as many years. Scudda doesn't say the n word in this song either. Open your ears and listen again dummy.
I'm a Black English bruv from London, too be short, a die-hard Hip-Hop Head. Now, I only fuck with Vinyl records and I have being buying Justus League 12''s & LP's since day one and thus; knew Joe Scudda from his appearances on LB's records & JL's crews tunes. Now, I hate RACISM with a passion, only known too the likes of Macolm X(lyrics for you 2 qoute brothers and I just made that up right here, ha ha)and I can swear, one NEVER heard Joe Scudda used the racist N-word slur on WAX, FACT. Peace!
yeah dude tight im going to have to keep a eye on dude. 9th wonder on the beat you cant go worng
