The way the media tells it Troy West decided that as he left Cracker Barrel he attacked Tasha Hill simply because she was black. The truth is that she provoked the incident, although not racially motivated it's pretty safe to assume that West is racist.

It was Tasha Hill's fault that her daughter almost got hit with the door. The girl RAN up to the door as West was coming out. Hill demand an apology from West because he was white. If he were a brother she would have known to stfu and gtfo but instead she thought he would take her crap. She did look really surprised on the video after it happened but look what she did. She yelled at him, she indignantly demanded an apology, grabbed, him, and spit on him.

@gothitelle2011.. He took a plea bargain and only did about a month a jail time. That was it. So there will be no chance at jailhouse justice. Had he been a Black man and she had been a White woman, he would have served much more than a month of jail time.

As a man I know that if I were in Tasha Hill's shoes I would know exactly what would happen if I demanded an apology from West. I would escalate the situation, hell I wouldn't even have been able to kick his ass and call it self defense or in defense of the kid because the after the door didn't hit the kid she was not in any danger. West was wrong. Hill and West argued about whose fault it was that Hill's little girl almost got hit with a door. West was wrong. Hill and West argued and escalated the situation until West lost his temper and attacked her. The only reason she got so much sympathy is because she wasn't capable of fighting back. If it were two men in the same situation they both would have been in jail.

White people were really upset about the way Hill was beaten. I think West should have gotten a lot worse than he did.

Hill accused him of nearly hitting her daughter. They got into an argument that lasted a for a few minutes and West ended up kicking and punching her and calling her racial names.

@MebJodi.. I have yet to read any official document that says she spit on him. No witnesses stated that she spit him. Her lawyer even said himself that he personally viewed the Cracker Barrel video several times and in it no where does she spit on him. I think Troy Dale West made that up to make himself appear less barbaric and to gain sympathy. After all, he did this directly in front of a 7-yr-old girl as well as his very own wife.

They let this guy go after 3 months. Where is the justice? They moved him to another jail, supposedly to be closer to his family, but I believe he KNEW the sherrif at the jail he was moved to. Vick got two years. I guess a dog is more important than a black woman .

Basically the door the mother claimed West almost hit the daughter(who she admistted ran up to the door)with the door and then demanded he apologize.
she grabbed him by the wrist(assault and battery) she argued with him for quite a few minutes and either of them could have walked away but both of them were pig headed and both of them were wrong. Finally she may or may not have spit on him(irelevant) and he started hitting her and racially insulting her. This isn't how most folks act.
