@beautifuldurian Hi! Thanks for the comments. The video was made from digital photos I took with a (pretty average) point and shoot camera. It was then assembled into a video using "ken burns" where the photo is zoomed or panned across. The music was done by a group called "3 Local Boyz" in Hawaii as a parody for a radio station there. They've since broken up, I've read. We're from the USA. :)

@chocomonster1000 I didn't try them here, but in the states I've had them in a French restaurant, escargot, and also in a Vietnamese place. They were quite a bit chewier than tofu! I'd say more like clams or something, but with their unique flavor, since these aquatic snails are mollusks and more closely related to a clam than the garden snail they resemble :D

I'm pretty sure they use sponges, anemones, and corals for their "medicinal" bullcrap. As for stone fish, there aren't that many to go fishing for. If they were abundant like grasshoppers I guaranteed they'd eat it. Go walk into an supermarket in Chinatown and see the shit these people digest. I've even seen horseshoe crabs and seahorses. Still, if they are indeed emperor newts I have no idea why anyone would want to eat them, the wiki says the orange dots are poison glands.

@chrisawesomedude The only time I've tried scorpion was after it was boiled to death in an herbal soup in Thailand. Because it was boiled out, there was no flavor and it was like chewing shrimp shell. Make sure ANYTIME you try scorpion, to pinch off any stinger and a little bit more if it has it attached.

In california a lot of Ocean Bay Area people eat bugs and crickets. Just like their counterpart the Foreign Countries. Quite shocking but im sure the bugs are very tasty once you dip it in Chocolate and CARMEL! YUM YUM.

You can buy canned silkworms and sweet crispy fried whole tiny crabs (about 1" each in size) that you eat shell and all in the Asian markets around the SF Bay Area.

I haven't seen any crickets, though.
